I want to start this off by saying: Thank you all for your support over the years. It's been an absolutely amazing experience for all of us here at GearDev to watch our fan base grow as it did, and it warms our hearts to see people still commenting on our ModDB all these years later.



City 17 has always been about giving what we can to the community; and while I'm sorry to say that we were not able to deliver our game on time, I can now happily say that we won't go quietly either.

As of today City 17 is now completely open source and the entire mod folder is now available for download on ModDB.

I am afraid that the years have not been kind to the mod and Steampipe has effectively broken this build. That being said, the content of the mod and it's source code is free for anyone to use or modify in their personal or SourceMod projects. Who knows; someone may even build the source and get it running once more.

The mod crashes as soon as any map loads.

I've tried disabling anything I possible can, and can't load it. ;(

How broken? GAMEINFO.TXT broken, or actual engine breaking broken, requiring code changes?

I would fix it myself, but I don't have a place to start.

Maybe if I can find an old Source SDK 2007 online somewhere...

Question. Who is using city17ep1 stuff in their mod?

Also, i've decided that i hopefully will be able to make a Dangerous World remake using city 17 episode one things once i get my own pc and stuff. I have alot of ideas about how im going do things in the remake and hopefully (when the time comes) i should be able to release an updated and new Dangerous World remake with alot of new things! ;)
I dont expect getting a new pc anytime soon, so i will see what happens. Thnx! ^w^

NOTE: i have no experience with making my own mod so progress might be slow... maybe, idk! X3

Game code already ported.
Finally, I just need to port materialsystem & shaders :)

P.S. I replaced SDK shaders in some VMT files to default one to make the ingame screenshots.

This port will run on Source 2013 base. Most of my friends can't launch maps in mod. It loading 99% and then crashed. :c

I tryed to re-compile code from github. But there is a lot of errors and looks like most libs was compiled by VS 2008 or by older VS.
