It is late 2020, City 17 has been liberated by the shadow figure, Gordon Freeman. Derrel Carter, inspired by Gordon Freeman's overthrow of the Combine's highly coveted City 17, did what any romantic sixteen your old would do; he joined the local resistance.
After four bloody years of vicious guerilla warfare, City 14 is still under combine authority. During a raid, the rebel hero Cassius Urrvan, was killed in a last stand against a combine ambush, when an enemy gunship crashed into his position, killing fourteen rebels along with him. The fighting was so fierce that no one was able to retrieve the bodies of their fallen comrades, they're still out there, buried amongst torn metal and broken bodies.
Radios around the city began tuning into the middle of a fiery speech being given by the new resistance leader; all the rooms went quiet as the sound of one name floated out of the radio, Urrvan. At the sound of that codename, hundreds of rebels fervently began preparations for their final offensive.

Do you have any idea how hard coders are to come by? Especially for a mod with nothing to show for itself?
This infact would be better summed up in a custom campaign and not as a total conversion (needing a coder). Not to mention that this mod is at 0% completion. For the sake of saving face, (re)archive this thing until you actually have something.

If he was a godlike mapper or modeler, than I wouldn't mind another one, but all he posted was an "idea."
To quote ModDB.
"BRAND NEW mods or JUST STORYLINES / IDEAS will not be accepted. You must show a significant amount of progress, e.g. screenshots (or concepts) of models and maps that you are working on."
Hmm, its been up a while and you have a messed up story and no content.

As so many others have said, your story is is messed up for at least a couple of reasons: first, Half-Life 2 took place much later than 2010. Probably in the 2020s or 2030s. Second, North America was destroyed after the Black Mesa Incident.
I guess there's really only one way to fix this without making a major change to the storyline: you could have it take place in another famous city that's not in North America, like London, Paris, or Tokyo.
Or you could just ignore this altogether. It will likely be just as popular a mod if it's not entirely canon.

hl one was set in 20xx (eg.2010) and hl2 was set 20 year onwards...so the storys screwd from the start ^^.
when is it coming out? Do you have a release date
