I made some changes to the game chrome, after reading how to mod the game from "Chrome and Chrome SpecForce - Unofficial patch" years ago i tried the game since it came for free buying a magazine, i liked it because it was similar to deus ex, i disliked it cause it was just a pain to aim and shoot compared to every other fps... and enemies were doing too much damage. I didn't finish the game. surrendered after 2 levels. now with the ability to mod the game... i gave better accuracy with weapon, i boosted a bit the implants and their duration, i gave more weapon options in loadout screen and doubled the medkit, neural medkit. I also doubled hitpoints of jeep vehicle, since there is a mission you need to man the turret while a scientist drive the jeep... and surviving the trip was too hard for me... so after trying 3000hp and failing, i set jeep hitpoints to 4000 (game original is 2000) i finally was able to complete the game and enjoyed it, i give it a B as a vote...

The game sets the Jeep's health in that mission to a fixed 10000. You can check it using the ChromED level editor and checking the Jeep01. Your changes to the default health it spawns with didn't affect that mission at all, since the mission itself overrides that.
The reason you passed it after few tries is just becuase you got better (or maybe made some other changes i dunno)
I'm late, but thanks for this mod. I don't know how anyone could claim this game wasn't cheap difficulty-wise. On Normal difficulty the AI will blast your *** within literal seconds in close range, to the point that you don't even have time to react. And they almost never miss.
Your mod has made the game quite a bit more enjoyable.
Also, in the readme text it mentions using the buggy in first or third person.. How do you switch views while in a vehicle? I can't find any info on that, and it doesn't help searching anything about this game just brings up results for the Chrome browser.
The first level is basically the hardest in the whole game, because you have no implants. Later you get various implants and with those the game becomes much easier. If AI is too fast, then use slow motion implant. I finished the game on hardest difficulty and it was challenging, I had to play very clever and carefully and it was very fun.
I don't believe Chrome is a difficult game, i enjoyed it when i played it. Soon, i will continue with Specforce.
