Chimera is for version 1.4/1.5. It has 7 levels and the file is 6.9MB in size. It was released on February 5, 2001. Note: you need to have the Last Reaction and Water Bases TC before you can play this TC.
Sorry everybody who waited for chimera, I won't finish it. I tried to find back inspiration but I fear it will never come back :(
Anyway, I want to thanks everybody who sent me mails about it. I also want to thank you as I know you will respect my decision to let it unfinished.
For all of yours who waited for it, I release this pack which includes the art, sound, con work, and palette work and of course the levels that were ready to be played. I won't release the videos as they're far too big & not that useful.
I won't support this pack, it is provided "as is". I may help in some levels but please understand that I made them more than 1 year ago.
Installation
------------
REQUIRES A FULL INSTALLED VERSION OF LR&WB (do not delete it !)
WARNING : The lookup.dat is the new night vision, make a backup of your own if you want to try it.
Unzip all files in the dn3d directory, do not remove lr&wb.grp file !
Use the chimera.bat file to launch it
If you want to regroup all files, extract (kextract) lr&wb.grp in an empty directory, then chimera.grp in the same directory (write over existing files), kgroup everything, keep a copy of chimera.con & the new created grp file. The command line will be : duke3d.exe /xchimera.con /gXXXX.grp where XXXX is the name of your grp file.
MULTIPLAYER GAME IS AVAILABLE BUT YOU HAVE TO USE THIS LINE : "SETUP.EXE /xchimera.con /gXXXX.grp" and then configure multiplayer games
I hope you'll enjoy these 7 last levels.
