Chili Quake XXL, formerly Quake 2005 Revolution, is a High Definition Graphics Update for Id Softwares Quake 3 Arena. It includes some new models, new textures, and also new shaders. It utilizes the evolution q3 engine ( ) , so pixel and vertex shaders are also supported, and they are already in use. It also includes some high resoluted weapon textures from Destroyer. The goal of Chili Quake XXL is to make Q3A look like a nextgen game while maintaining the compatibility to the original Q3A and its mods, and its original style. Note to the Installation: You have to install Chili Quake XXL in an own directory (e.g. C:\Programs\Chil Quake XXL), and then you must copy the pak0.pk3 file from your previous original Q3 installation in the baseq3 folder there. PS: You will need a realy strong computer to play it smoothly ;) Note: You MUST have a 3D accelerator wich supports Pixel-Shader. If you have problems starting it, try to start it with "+set r_ext_framebuffer_object 0"...

Original. Entretained. HIGHLY EVLOLVED!!!...
Chilly Quake is one of the best graphics mod for Q3A. With good textures, 3d models, sound effects, scripts, sprites and manymanymany other things.

The problem with the mod are some bugs and script errors on a few modifications than makes than those games look not so good. However, nothing than you can not fix.
