After a long dry spell, I'm writing this article for you with some new content. The soundtrack has been finished. Finally! I hope you like it. Feel free to give us some feedback, or some suggestions.

Furthermore I want to give you some impressions. The great collective is has been formed.

The Collective represents a mysterious phenomenon which exists and grows by absorbing pure kinds of energy (like fission & fusion generators, human mind, or electricity). This particular one in chernobyl is absorbing the reactor's fission power and seeks to grow its mind by collecting mind and soul of any individual.

This mind stands for the sum of all absorbed ones. The relevant point now is, that all of these minds are imprisoned in a small, compressed cage. Every part-mind in this Collective can feel, see and understand what another individuals feel, see and understand... Which is by no means wonderful, it is a nightmare for the ones inside. Imagine ONE body having a vast amount of mind and soul essence, existing of memories, wishes, feelings, different will, purposes. Everything mixed together leads to schizophrenia, emotional tension, desperation, fear.

I've decided to upload the old version (Build date 08.01.2008). This is the only version which is still working with WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne v1.24...

Chernobyl will only be released for WC3. Besides I might say, there is another action-adventure on our shedule. We're already working on the corporate, the lore, the systems .. with the release of SCII we will reveal our next project. (;

Thanks for the positive feedback! As you may see on the bottom screen I'm not working alone on Chernobyl. The user interface has been created by Darktemplar. Well, and Arcadia is my very own project. (;

If you played a version below 1.00: the old version doesn't represent any quality of the actual cLR anymore. You don't have to use 'cheats' in order to succeed. (;

Impressive use of custom doodads and lighting. Looks very nice. Hope the large amount of doodads and units do not interfere with the frame-rate too much though, the WarCraft III engine is old and outdated and can't handle as much as modern games can.

We got stable 30 fps and I think the engine will bear it. I'm using alpha-tiles for the pathing; best solution for a better performance.
