is the mod on hold??? or dead??? please answer...
if this systems proves to work on ZH, will it, in the possible future, be updated to C&C3's engine? as i understand this, tiberium does not have a functioning code in any of the generals games, so it would have to be written and built from scratch. C&C3 already has that type of code, just for a smaller scale use. Also, when making the crawlers, how are you going to be able to compensate for the modeling bugs that would supposedly allow for "infinite" exit points when generating units? since the crawler is neither unit nor building but both at the same time, are you going to be able to compensate for the amount of lag that will be generated in-game from having multiple if not hundreds of units taking up space inside a single "unit" that has only one exit? what i mean to ask, are you going to be able to regulate how many units come out at any one time, rather than having the "crawler" expel all of the units simultaneously like that of a GLA tunnel network, but on a much larger, and far more laggy scale?
Tiberium_exposure we will update both CnC starlight and vortex with a demonstrated video of how the crawler function is going to work in the generals system, about the tiberium your right that the code need to be made from scratch but since the code is open source in the cnc paradise tutorial page everyone can use it, and even use the updated version of the code from tiberian dawn and sun redux.
well, the troop crawler from China can expel 1 unit at a time with the Evacuate
a little unworthy update but it's a must to make it clear ,this mod isnt dead but its in origine is a part of vortes mod filtering crawler system only so it doesnt have progress on its own but it reflects parts of vortex mod progress , in short when something in common is made for vortex "i mean cc4 related stuff " it will be updated here too that is because we dont have much free time to cover both of them at the same time i have spoken about reasons for lack of modding time in vortex comment section, thanks in advance for your patience and tolerance to us
Working on several mods simultaneously indeed is a very demanding task and thus I can fully understand if a project lacks of updates. Especially considering the huge size of THE VORTEX.
But it's always good to know that the project hasn't been disbanded! Keep up the great work and hopefully you'll find enough free time to finish the masterpiece that shall make us forget about the failure that was TT. ;)
is it dead or something? no update for long time :/
RIP (If it's safe to say)
Well... any progress?
