C&C:VRM Generals strives to make Zero Hour as visually realistic as possible.  This means that we would like to replace every in-game entity with its closest real world equivalent.  We are NOT interested in changing the gameplay in any way, and intend to keep the original balance of Zero Hour entirely intact.

Our ultimate goal is to have every unit in the game, every icon, every building, most sounds and most particle effects replaced to be as realistic as possible.  The crusader tank for example has been replaced by the M1A2 abrams.  Some units, such as the Avenger, have capabilities beyond real life.
We will still replace these units with their most logical real-life-counterpart, despite the real vehicle not being able to perform the same actions.

Like the title says, 0.5 is now out and you can get it either in the downloads section or through the big download button here!

Visual Reality Mod 0.5

This being said, I must emphasize that the mod has primarily been constructed and tested to work best with the VANILLA GENERALS, the special generals added in Zero Hour are probably quite bug riddled!

Here are most of the new units involved (not shown are several non-buildable units and one or two others that simply were forgotten in the family photos):

  • So many bug fixes and one or two bugs added at the last second by accident.

    P.S. In the menu screen, watch out for the guy with the white pants. He's tricky!

there is only some complications with cameos and M1A. OH and in the massive air strike general power the arouras are turned into a very nice white B1-B lancers!! you got to check it out its very nice.

Luckily due to the fact that it's only a graphical change it would be extremely simple to merge this mod with another. For anyone who would like to do so themselves, the tutorials found on Gendev.gamemod.net give more then enough information on how to do so.

As a side note, if it's one of the tricky mod's such as shockwave, CWC or VGO as examples, that have files ending in .SW or .CWC, just change the ending to .big and use a .big extractor to access the files.

man there aren't ZH mods compatible with each others unless one of the two change things maintaining theyr code features and name without adding nothing new but models with the same name and bone of the originals and some skins. Anyway you can have multiple mod on your PC and among them you can switch from one to another, but not playing them at the same time if the conditions above aren't respected

As stated in the readme, we have not tested compatibility with other mods, so use them at your own risk. It is very likely that it is not because we included customized INIs that probably also need to be edited for changed gameplay, which means that one mod will overwrite changes of the other...

What he said; if other mods alter particle effects, units, icons, or any vehicle INIs, they will interfere with this mod most likely.
