This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

But how will you guys make the missile/rocket launcher in vanilla Generals?
That launcher looks like 9K11 Malyutka, but in real life they did not mount it on T-54/55(as far as I know). How will you guys mount on a T-55?

Ok, I'm not trying to picky and stuff, but this prototype from Peru certainly won't be found in "Middle Eastern rebel" arsenals. I rather suggest some crude modifications, it would fit the "homebrew"/makeshift-GLA-appeal a lot more.
Its not a prototype and the T-55 is widely exported so there is always a possibility a batch of Leons were received or captured by the GLA.

Of course T 55s are not in short supply, so therefore there are porbably hundreds of different mods, especially in rebel armies. So why not think somehthing crude up? That's more probable than some Peruvian demonstrator.

Demonstrators are different from Prototypes. These could be called Proof of Concept Demonstrators or Technology demonstrators but not Prototypes. Prototypes are pre-production technology that will achieve IOC.
just like i expected to replace scorpion tank, T-55 from warsaw pact nation was better than Italian obsolete tanks :)

T-55AMV or MV5/MV6 are modern T-55 variants that underwent significant modernization.

The rocket upgrade on T-55 can be AT-3 Sagger like on the original scorpion tank, or tube-launched will be good also ;)
