Command and Conquer 3: The Forgotten aims to bring back and tell the story of a fascinating faction. The Forgotten, featured in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, are an ever-growing group of individuals afflicted with Tiberium-based illnesses. Detested, marginalized, and oppressed by the three superpowers, The Forgotten have begun to rally against GDI, Nod, and the Scrin. Since their story is not featured in C&C 3, the mod aims to tell it in a compelling fashion, through a deep singleplayer campaign, unique faction composition, and engaging gameplay. The Forgotten is also the only mod to feature high-definition Full Motion Videos, just like real C&C games, that advance the story.
I like the mod because a lot of time and effort went into development. And seeing how this is the only mod I have seen with movie cut scences and didn't have to borrow any of them from Tiberium Wars, so this mod is a really nice project that C & C Labs Mod Development Team did. I would recommend this simply because the overall complexity of this mod is awesome. If you downloaded this mod, and say it was junk, then you need to get your head examined, because this is one of the greatest Tiberium Wars mods ever to be made.
ive played this mod several times and i can never get enough of it, the new unit make for an amazing gameplay expierience and i love that it explains the origin of the forgotten
although i cant get it to launch anymore, it just lauches c&c 3 can anyone help me with that?
I enjoyed the mod a lot. Especially the old school C&C style cut scenes between missions.
The models and textures fit well into the already great game C&C3 and it doesn't stick out besides looking awesome. I would highly recommend testing this mod out. If you enjoyed the good old C&C games you'll really like this.
it's the forgotten...for any true C&C fan i need not say more. although (yes i'm saying this becouse i have no coding skills or 3D unit design skills) it'd be cool to see a sequil to this once we're permitted to mod the kane's wrath expansion, you left a very open ending to the campaign that left me wanting more.
as for the multiplay i'd say the forgotten fill the niche i've been looking for. i can canscript spam with the hoard, or i can go fullblown specialist forces with the very good commando and his special power and the super strong air forces and super troops.
and of course the nastagia factor alone makes this mod worth it vein hole monsters tib feinds....a higher chance to encounter viscroid swarms almost every good thing EA decided to whimsically rip out of C&C
A good C&C 3 MOD, however it does lack in alot of things revolving around it's campaign that it comes with. The campaign for the mutants is too short. The 5 missions that you do get as the mutants are very imbalanced, and have issues with the timers and triggers. The mutant faction is lacking in too many areas to be an effective force to use. Some of the sounds could use some reworking. I am giving this 8 out of 10 for the effort, however it still needs more work.
