With regular system crashes and over-driven equipment, a disaster must have been inevitable.Deep within the tunnels and carved corridors of the top secret research complex within the mesa itself, the catalyst was introduced.
When your only companion (indeed your best and only friend of this piddling existence) suffered from an untimely death, you couldn't help but feel lost and vulnerable. And when you stumbled into a series of strange and unnatural incidents, you soon realized that no one cared about YOUR life. No one would take the time to befriend you... to help you... to save you.
People were dieing.And your best friend was one of many victims.You were forced to survive alone.To live by any means necessary.And to do it your way.
Of course, it didn't help that you were born a cat.
Cat-Life is an original concept for Half-Life and the GoldSource engine.Players will experience the Black Mesa incident from the view of a stranded pet cat.
Using claws and teeth and the natural prowess of a cat, players will travel through the bowels of Black Mesa.Xenian beasts roam the corridors and laboratories and... surprise... cats are conveniently bite-sized for those in-between-meal munchies.

Yes that's right, we're looking for some guys who want to do some actual work for this mod. No joking around, do something! This mod has changed from comical to serious. We don't have any good story thought up, but if you check the pictures you'll probably get the idea.
Our site got hacked and was gone for three months.
The team is gone, which doesn't effect the progress bar as that has always been on 10% No lazy guys wanted!
You want to help us get this mod finished and be famous for the original idea? Well here is your chance! We want YOU!
- Coder
A lazyjob. Probably some simple code you have to change. Still, you need some skills and no freaking real life problems as excuse to not doing anythin at all like our old team had for like... well since the beginning. Interested? Or not sure? Contact me and I'll give examples of what should be done.
- Mappers
Well we got the whole idea sketched out on images. We're considering changing the plans though... but that shouldn't bother you, this mod will be so great you don't care what kind of maps you'll be makin. Anyway, probably the most logical will be having to make lab (Black Mesa) types of maps and outdoor, having all kinds of puzzles for our smart cat to go through. Interested? Or not sure? Contact me and I'll give examples of what should be done.
- Modeler/animator
Probably only need one modeler/animator. Don't pay attention to those comical looking models we have right now. They should be remodeled to look more... serious. The cat model needs animations added like running... we already have some animations but that's besides the point. Wanna join? Contact me.
- Webdesigner
Know html?
A nice site for Cat Life would be great. You don't get paid, unless we get donations.. that will be spread out on the team, so you never know :)

So it IS going to be released in April then?
Without having to worry about HL2 coming out and spoiling the luster of it since it's being delayed for another 4 or so months due to that source code being stolen.
Once a bit of the coding has been done, I'll update the progress bar.
