Carpathian Crosses - The Romanian Army in World War II This is going to be an Add-on for Red Orchestra - Ostfront '41-'45, this means you can play standard maps along with maps like Usatovo or Chisinau. We will introduce new player models, new vehicles and new weapons to the game along with additional gameplay features. Make sure to check our website over at: Or you can join in on our IRC channel at #carpathiancrosses on the irc.gamesurge.net server! While you are waiting for new media (which we plan to give out quite often), we hope you can make yourself comfortable in our forums. To continue the tradition from the RO mod times, we created an "Ideas and Suggestions" forum where you can give your input and help the mod to improve. Also, we are always looking for talented guys to help us out, if you feel you have what it needs (beside skill, time and dedication is the most important), contact us.

The day our entire team has been looking forward to for about a year and a half has come; the first release of our add-on for the Red Orchestra community to play. We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we have enjoyed making it. We've released a feature list 2 weeks ago, but to refresh your memory, here are just some of the features you'll find in the first beta release:

- Eight new player classes with appropriate gear and uniforms; including the Soviet Black Sea Naval infantry.
- A total of 9 new weapons and 2 new tanks.
- A detailed mortar crewman - spotter system to facilitate tactical mortar gameplay.
- Lots of improvements to the tank system.
- Combined arms, tank and infantry only maps (5 in total).
- Full support for custom mappers.
- Integrated with standard Red Orchestra.

Please be sure to report any bugs or oddities you come across in the appropriate section of our forum! We strive to further improve the add-on, but we cannot do it without the support of the community. If you just want to tell us your opinion, you're more then welcome to join us on our forums too.

What Sam said ;) It's not a seperate mod but integrated. Just boot normal RO and look for servers with CC or Carpathian Crosses in the name ;)

That would only be possible if the add-on would be made into a Total Conversion, which would destroy the RO integration. The best we can change (and did change) in the way we thought it out is the team selection menu.

yeah i saw that, the problem with the way you created the game was that it still has the very same flaws that RO has. I would take that leap and go over to the TC scene so many fixes are possible with just a few GUI changes and that is all it would take to make this mod more then it currently is. Take for example the problem of randomly exploding people when they have no idea that they have to ONLY defend one or two points in the map. Or if you even added some directional points on screen to say where the front line is or even more so into showing where your friends are on screen to avoid those ever repeating TK's and then the after effect of the kick.

just join a map that has the mod title in it. Its more of a MP expansion pack then a full blown mod, so you wont need to select it from steam or within the mod menu.
