The spiritual successor to the now defunct Carnivores Reloaded, Carnivores+ is a partial conversion mod for Carnivores 2 whose goal is to recreate the first Carnivores game on the Carnivores 2 engine. Its goal is not only to recreate the assets, looks and atmosphere of the original game on the more advanced engine, but also to extend on the concepts of the original while remaining true to the spirit of what made Carnivores great. The mod adds new terrain to Carnivores' original maps, entirely new areas never seen before and new huntable and ambient animals to the roster to supplement the old classics.
My review used to be a 10 in 2019. Things have changed.
Carnivores+ isn't a bad mod, but it is an outdated and unfinished one.
If you're looking for a more modern and complete experience of the same concept, try Carnivores Legacy.
This mod reminds me the old times (1998) when the first Carnivores came out and i started to play this game, being a 7 years old kid. This mod has the classic dinosaur roster of original game and new ones were added like Therizinosaurus, whose skins and shapes follow the Carnivores series design-style. Some maps are the same of original game but received updates, making this way an interesting experience while exploring the original game maps with enlarged spaces and some maps are new with unique flora like Gulf of Qetura (my favourite one!) which presents a large swamp with mangrove trees that make an awesome atmosphere. The negative part of this mod are the weapons, which are only three. It is cool that these weapons are the same ones of the original game and they have reload animations! But it would be great to have more than three weapons to hunt, so players would have more weapons available to choose from and vary during hunts.
And a few maps need to fill some floor parts with transitive textures, to give them a better esthetic. I end here... this is a mod that you should play!
Just playing the demo of this and you can already see it is going to be superior to the original incarnation of this mod. Much nicer looking maps more focused and more professional and the new animals added are very well done this has the potential to become of the best mods out there for carnivores.
Will it surpass Triassic ? It has the potential to can't wait until its actually finished.

Ehhhhh i dunno but this seems to stray abit to far from what the original carnivores was. Not great imo.
Great mod, I don't know why some people have given it 6&5 rating. I think thats for the beta 1, but now the mod has vastly improved in Beta 2.1. I won't spoil the experience but check out the sniper.
Well I must say that this mod is not the best mod ever. Carn2+ is better but I would say that this mod is a solid 5 or 6 because of the the mess inside of the hunting areas. also the weapons of this mod are to popular in other carnivores mods so I'm kind of sick of the same old weapons and the only think that is keeping this mod from being 1 or 2 is because of the dinosaurs, mainly how you put a Pachycephalosaurus in the game, that was one of the coolest parts. Plus I like how its almost the same exact ai as the Parasaurolophus which is the type ai I think all hadrosaurus and plant eaters should have if they are similar in size or have a similar role in the carnivores games to the Parasaurolophus. so that is why I gave this carnivores mod a 5 rating.
Extremely well made mod that is the perfect blend of the original C1 with the C2 engine, from maps, to DLC, to weapons, everything about this mod is perfection, crafted amazingly by poha.
