Introduction:

 Your name is Jack and the year is 1905.
You find yourself locked up in a strange looking bedroom which looks familiar to you.
You cannot remember how & why you are here, but everything seems to be calm and relaxing around you, until you read a note by your bed...

You decide you have to escape as soon as possible!
What you do is entirely up to you.

As you continue your way, you uncover something which will change your life forever....
You make your journey through the unknown discovering what has happened, encountering numerous enemies, solving puzzles and eventually escaping.
Nothing you have not seen before, but with a small change...

New world, more FUN!


After months of mapping and scripting, we released Calm Terror v1.5.0 which marked the end of Beta and the beginning of the Full version.
Since we got through many troubles making the CS and wanted to relax a bit, we took a (pretty long) vacation from mapping and similar stuff, but we are back now and we will continue developing the CS.

Now let me tell you what we are planning to do in the next updates all the way to the final version:

v1.5.5 - A small update which should fix all the KNOWN bugs. - Mid. July

v1.6.0 - A new world with custom textures and stuff - TBD*

v1.7.0 - Update to the world with some bugfixes and (possibly) new stuff - TBD*

v1.8.0 - Full makeover, meaning we will re-make all the levels and put much more details - TBD*

v1.9.0 - Pre-final update with possible bugfixes - TBD*

v2.0.0 - Final version with a complete story, level design and scaryness ;D - TBD*

I played the demo/bets 1.3 and have some things to mention.

1: You have soooo many texture glitches! Is it hard to move the textures/walls correctly or do you simply rush? Dont rush with it! And if you think it's hard to put them correctly, use the magnet.

2: I did not like the first monster spawn (the real one, not hallucination). I ran to the bedroom and hide in the closet. The brute came into the same room and I was hiding untill I realized he was stuck at the same place and refused to move untill he heard something else (like me throwing things around).

3: You sometimes have to go a loooong way back if you missed a key. Annoying.

4: The water monster part was very easy, since he did not move as long as I kept jumping on the crates. Water monsters normally stalk me, but this one just didn't care. Also, the water is a square and nothing happend after opening the door on the other side. I could see the squary format and it looked really unrealistic.

5: After crawling in a tunnel, I found the ladder and climbed up. I missed something so I was going to crawl back and found a "next level" symbol at the ladder. I clicked on it and the story crashed (map not found).

BUT I did like the creepy athmosphere, the story line, notes, scary events and level design (except for all the glitches). Looking forward for a complete version! :)

Marcusyaho, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it very much because (as you can see) YOU people can find errors and similar things I cannot. I will try to fix the errors and things you found. Further more:

1. Yes, there are many texture glitches and I have to fix them. I was not rushing, and I am still not.

2. That bug did not happen when I tested it 6 times (as I remember). However, I will try to fix it :)

3. Yes, well I think that this is similar to how the original game content is made, don`t you think?

4. I believe that "water monsters" do not actually stalk you, but move around randomly, so you THINK it is stalking you. Perhaps I am wrong :)

5. Yes, that seems to be my mistake since I did not lock the door. I am still making that level, so the door is not connected to the map. Thats why your game crashed - it could not find the map. :D

Once again, I sincerely appreciate your feedback and I am glad that you like my work (ignoring the problems above)! :D :D

The water monster in the original story followed me around at least. If I jumped on the next box, he went to the next box as well. But I guess it variate. ;)

It's a great story. Just need some fixing here and there, but it's just a beta so..

I guess the monster can walk on PathNodes, but it will still not follow you. :P

The Water Monster is programmed to follow you. It can follow PathNodes, but it does not need them.
