Call of Pripyat: Redux is the premiere realism/difficulty modification for the latest game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Version 1.0 (released) brings numerous enhancements and tweaks to the game while retaining its original charm, but making the Zone a much more difficult place to survive. Version 2.0 (in development) will build upon the success of v1.0 and bring a huge range of improvements over its predecessor, including new missions, NPCs, script systems and even levels.

Awesome to see more and more spaces being opened up for exploring! Will there be any extra stashes placed in these "new" areas?

this raises my question, will AN3.01 be made compatible with Redux 2? I'm all for lush environments.

Also, good job man, side by side comparison shows a huge improvement!

Indeed, damn! Also, I've had a PM of Jketiynu, author of Swartz. I'll contact you later on Skype and tell you what it's about. It does have to do with the offer I made you a couple of days ago, might pull your interest towards this subject as well.

Cheers, keep up the amazing work!

I'm assuming you're talking about particles? What's with the secrecy?

I've made him an offer as well. You took it, he didn't (yet I suppose) and revealing what he'd be doing in this development would kinda break the surprise effect of it ;)

The vanilla plant had little places to explore and was, at least for me, too linear. This is something else. Looking good so far!

The color correction gives this area a whole new feel. And I love that you've added more props, the vanilla CoP levels just felt really empty at times and it made the areas look bland a boring

Agreed, one of the big things I'm doing is adding more props to areas. Some buildings have literally nothing inside them!

this is awesome. i always hated the fences around the jupiter area. they actually made the map more complicated since there is only one form of entry to a certain objective. the a-life also sucks around jupiter as a result.

"there is only one form of entry to a certain objective"

Which is the case with each and every single building in the game maybe, with the exception of the water treatment facility\merc base in Zaton. A predetermined path through all the main attractions. Theme park experience, awful.

ye, call of pripyat may have had better level design if it wasn't slightly rushed. i honestly wish they just took some already made stuff from some stalker build and just added it in, since all of the level design, especially interiors, are extremely detailed and non-linear. also, that boat from build 1935's yantar should've totally made it to zaton.

The Jupiter Plant is receiving a huge amount of work in Redux v2.0, particularly in terms of playable-space for exploration and NPC encounters.

As part of this, I have decided to remove the arbitrary 'you can't go there' fences around the plant, opening up the area and creating more space for play. This location was not previously accessible, but is now!

As you can see in this image, the addition of new objects in these areas will bring them up to playable quality! The difference in quality between the current WiP Redux v2.0 build and vanilla is vast as I'm sure you'll agree, largely due to the wonderful AtmosFear 3 by Cromm Cruac!
