COD UO: ROH is a Mod where you are put through the boots of Cpl. Trevor Richard Hutchinson and play a fictional turn of events in WWII. The Germans are building a secret weapon, nothing is known about it except that it is being held in Hungary due to the Germans having a secure hold on the country. Task Force 666 has made a plan and with the help of the now Allied Hungarian resistance, they might have a chance to rid Hungary of the Nazi War Machine once and for all. Hungary can and will revolt against the Germans and push them out of their country.
Comprised of the toughest and meanest the Allies have to offer, your squad is a combined task force containing members from multiple allied countries. British, Americans, Canadians and Australians who are ready to kick some ass and show no mercy to the Jerry scum. Aptly named TASK FORCE DEVIL (AKA. Task Force 666).
You and your squad have been selected to lead the assault on the Germans occupation of Hungary and Liberate the Hungarians to help you uncover a deadly Nazi secret that could bring the end of the war. Not all is what it seems. Get locked. Get loaded. And get ready to jump into darkness!
The Meuchelmörder are a highly trained German battle group who are in controle of the Hungary Invasion Operation. There are an estimated 200 of them
throughout the world sent on special missions by the nazi government; they have received nearly limitless amounts of money put into their training and carry
the most sophisticated and experimental of German technology and weaponry. When you encounter large groups of German Infantry in Hungary chances are there will be a Meuchelmörder in command. When you kill them make sure to pick up their MP40c which fires incendiary bullets.
These men and women have resisted their oppression to the German invaders and for some time have been secretly communicating with the allies and infiltrating the German ranks in hope of over throwing their oppressors. Throughout the game you will meet and fight beside recurring and randomized resistance characters and understand their struggle.
The mod will be made up of chapters which each contain a certain amount of missions, all missions in a chapter will continue near directly on from each other so we can create long moments of real time story and combat. Each chapter will have a time/location gap in between allowing us to have both long moments of real time and still feature many different locations, these gaps range from a couple hours to a couple days and a street away to kilometers away.
The campaign will feature a great variety of missions, some doing this through changing game play such as driving a vehicle or mounting a turret and some making you approach the game play differently with unique and varying environments and scenarios. We hope to create an emotionally engaging, epically gripping and extremely fun mod to the best of COD: UO's abilities.
Basically we need a person who can model simple, first person objects for now. Two of the things we need at the moment are an in game compass that you can pull out and put back away and a WWII era knife that the player will be able to use as a weapon. Both will need animations such as pulling out, putting away and getting off belt for compass and the same as well as attacking for knife. If you are interested please PM my account.
As for the coder, all we need for now is for someone to basically take the compass element of the HUD and move it into the 3D world, on the compass model. I am not actually sure this is possible, so if someone in experience can confirm it that would be good but as far as we can tell, although maybe hard it does seem possible to put the working HUD compass in game.
