Call of Chernobyl is a free-play sandbox mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Call of Pripyat created by TeamEPIC. It features 32 explorable maps, reworked level design and level fixes, new original level, Trucks Cemetery, Full AI and A-Life overhaul, engine and script enhancements, Repeatable task system which bases itself on A-Life events, Customizable weather environments for every map as well as surges and psi-storms from AF3, Character creation which includes name, portrait and faction selection; Several optional modes such as Ironman mode, story mode and zombie survival mode, New achievements, rankings and reputation system, PDA leaderboard and enhanced PDA statistics, Companion system with keyboard issued commands, many optional side-features and community-made addons . Call of Chernobyl was player's choice Mod of the Year 9th place in 2015 and 1st place in 2016!
It is now possible to make use of new containers, that can be opened within the player's inventory. It is also able to restrict which kind of item can be added to it or restricted by item count or total weight. This allows for new possibilities. To demonstrate it, I implemented cooking in Call of Chernobyl using mutant meats from Misery (meshes/textures by Ponney).

Go go go ModDB. :d
Going youtube!
Edit : Misery is always there to inspire and provide all the good stuff :D
Nice! I look forward to the mods that add this and provide a means to reasonably make a profit from selling items created from cooking.
Try eating the cooked food and mix it with vodka, it feels so damn good making your own food in the zone :D
How 'bout a unique stalker named Martha Stewinski who pays double for meats?
i like your idea
You know, I never saw in any mod a female stalker, beside on the mega mod, Stalkersoup, which was totally awesome mod, but it was frustrating as hell....
Then I gotta need to make "imported" food more scarce and expensive... hoo wait we already got that. Now anybody know of any mod that add more consumable that is compatible with AO3?
Oh.. and that ambient sound in the video, is it me or it feels kinda different from my game?
Did anybody think it is different than original?
Is there any mod to improve the ambient sound?
Am I asking question in the wrong place?
Am I asking too much question?
Am I get too excited?
Did anybody know whats wrong with me?
Yes
Idk
Maybe
Yeah
I think so
idk
this mod will be the perfect match with gunslinger mod but the gunslinger will be a simple mod i mean not mergeable i think so
Gunslinger is really far from being simple
The point is that it modifies CoP engine so porting it to CoC would need some sort of cooperation between the developers. It may not happen at all. Although CoC with Gunslinger would be pretty much STALKER 2 and I do hope they will think about the merge
I dont think it would be easy to port Gunslinger animations to anything else than ordinary CoP . But , heck ... imagine this : a 64-bit X-Ray engine , a two huge massive maps from Ray of Hope , a CoC-Misery combination ( CoM , but there will be official merge of Misery 2.2 and CoC in future ) as a core , a Gunslinger animations , CoC HD Models addon and a Warfare (sub)mod to add factions wars . Now THAT ... THAT would be , undoubtedly , STALKER 2.0 . You could add on any further retextures for flora and/or fauna and structures , and you would have a completely new game .
From what I heard (though it could have changed) is they aren't even using source, they are used hacked dlls to implement their features using lua pcap, same as shoker. This technique won't work on CoC because the entry point and addresses are different.
It is cool that the new container system is added so addon creators can take advantage of it, but I hope Call of Chernobyl won't add additional gameplay features to the game besides what is already presented in the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. builds. Leave it up to addon creators.
A majority of the gameplay and features in CoC is not in the original games. I don't think people got the memo but like 4 years ago CoC stopped being a map pack, Bangalore and I have voiced this several times now. It's a freeplay sandbox mod.
Multi use functions on right click menu at it's best. Good to see suggestion made long time ago is adopted and well implemented in game.
UI used for cooking might be even better, but it falls to personal taste and something for others to tweak it further.
EDIT:
Can new container UI be tweaked ? For example in up left part of UI where usualy portrait is shown, can you put there any icon of personal choice ? Instead of portrait, icon of staw and icon of fuel used. Also, is it possible to add more buttons that will make function call ? Like instead of right clicking on item on right side, to start cooking with some new custom button shown on left side of UI ?
Asking because this kind of UI just gived me plenty of possible usages, not only for cooking.
I ******* CALLED IT!

Вот и нашлось применение мясу которое было практически не нужным.
If you cook a buterbrod make sure to turn it upside-down so that the sausage touches your tongue first and not the bread!
Small suggestion would be to use the Misery names for cooked versions of mutant meat. "Flesh Bacon" and "Rat Skewers" with some flavour text beat "Cooked $mutant_name Meat".
Also gun and outfit repair kits when?
