I like the idea behind this mod. It looks like it effectively works as advertised.

That said, for myself, I do consider its usage as being too advantageous to the player. Why? Accessing one's Inventory is an abstraction of looking through one's backpack, pockets, tactical pouches, and the like. In real life, when one's doing this activity, one's attention is pretty fully consumed by digging through one's belongings, and one's perceptions of the world "beyond one's pockets and pouches" are thus rightfully limited.

This mod alleviates that entirely. Which is fine. That is its intended purpose, thus a "Congratulations" and a "Thank You" are due to RockMax.

Good work!

Thank you for your comment, well yea it is an advantage for the player but sometimes it can be a little annoing to be killed while in inventory. As you said, it breaks the realism of the game and I agree with you I just created this addon for myself so it´s only optional for you and others to download it :)

When u look inside a bag, u don't have your head inside of it, u still have a sight of what's happening around you. Ur perception of the world is limited but not as in vanilla. So i m not agree with u 2, it doesn t break the realism...
Well, who gives a ****, it s just a game.

I simply love the idea, but it's too transparent for me, I already get lost in inventory, imagine with this, it's possible to make it more opaque?

whipped this up for this purpose

I.imgur.com

1)open the ui_actor_menu in paint.net (or photoshop with a .dds plugin)

2)paste the above image in as a new layer then change the layer opacity to your liking.

3)flatten the image then save as dxt5 (no mipmaps)

Thank you thank you! :)

I've wanted a transparent HUD the whole time I've played CoC, I even once suggested a HUD transparency slider in the menu.

Perhaps in a future update include choice from a few transparency levels?

Interesting but quite unwieldy. The inconsistent background makes the process of recognising items and reading their quantities slower and more eye-straining.
It's especially distracting when you're trading and can still see the full dialogue interface through the trade screen.

Yea that would require to have items highlighted which this mode doesn´t do but someone might do it.
