Immersion ruined for not having snowfall? This is my humble solution. (Improved the snowflakes)
ooooooh, thaks. I wil try just now.
This is real snowfall or just rain textures replacer?
This looks like a rain texture replacer. And a pretty weird-looking one at that.
The snow behaves like rain and just looks weird and oversized, imo.
Yeah I uploaded the old texture which sucked, I put up a better one now.
Amazing! What do you think of the weather change? Make a snowstorm, blizzards? You can also come up with a feature freeze. It would be very cool! Happy New Year!
I'm almost sure there were winter mods for SoC and CoP before, maybe you could ask the creators how to change the weather effects ?
This one's for SoC,for example, maybe the author can offer you an advice or two : Moddb.com
Downloading the SDK right now, will check this out too. So far I have looked at everything in configs and resources but found nothing that governs the rain particle speed and direction. Hopefully the full SDK with raw files will allow me to finally find it.
I would like to see an updated version of this addon. I would really look a lot better when the snowflakes would drop way slower.
Also the snowflakes are sort of greyish. I think they should be more white.
Maybe it would be a good idea to get rid of the rain at all? This way the problem would be circumvented. What do you think?
This would also include the rain sound of course.
There is a perfect snow mod for the Misery mod. I saw it on YouTube, but unfortunately I don't know who did it.
A tip for those playing with Winter Mod: Set the weather in CoC weather options to mostly good. You will seldom get storms and snowfall and so the atmosphere will not get ruined so soon. That's an intermediate fix until we get better snowfall for CoC.
Make one yourself don't expect people to just magically whip out mods for you.
The rain physics in this game is not something you can just edit because it's part of how the engine works. The snow from other mods I saw are big anomalies with particles in them to simulate snow.

I didn't intend to offend you somehow. I appreciate you tried to make a snowfall mod and I understand very well that the engine limits the looks of it. Also I don't expect anybody to mod anything for me. I am very thankful for any useful mod I get.
The intention of my last post was, to give people who play with Winter mod a tip of how get rid of the engine limitations. It's not only about snowfall. Also the thunder storms in Winter mod do not fit in.
So my post was intended to be a workaround which works for me quite well and I'm happy with my setting. I thought I'd share it.
