How do I disable the "underwater" effect?

You should open "McFX.cfg", scroll down to "HEATHAZE", and in the line which reads "#define USE_HEATHAZE 1" change the 1 to 0.

A mistake from my part, since it stuck in a higher level I wanted to set.

I agree! I used to use a really blue-red Reshade with CoM and it ****** me up. This one is perfect! Good job Charon! May we meet at the river ;)

Thanks, I'm working on d9.. Do I need to rename the dxgi.txt to d3d9.txt also? Or just the .dll?

Looking forward to hear the music from GLOOMER, you need to be brave to replace MoozE's work!

Hi there! For DirectX 9, you need to rename the DLL file only.

As for the music, you can preview some of my Dark Ambient works here on ModDB. I've uploaded a demo track for another mod of mine (for the classic DOOM).

Hello there, Shovelled!

I've uploaded a preview for GLOOMER, with an original music track, and I remembered your comment.

Here's the Youtube link, although I'll post an article later in the week about this.

Cheers!

What's up with these low ratings? The pictures for this mod look decent.

Well, I can understand the low feedback. There are great visual mods out there, and I don't know if this one can match those.

Further more, it only works as a color correction, contrast and some fancy lens textures. I wish I could mess with the Z-buffer without breaking the UI.

I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks a lot.

Welcome! I wish you can receive more positive feedback for your work. I really desire to try out this mod someday as I doubt my trash of a PC can run it.

Absolutely fantastic, I love how it makes everything look. Although I do love the effect, the lens glint/dirt effect is kind of hurting my eyes when I play for awhile and makes it hard to see well, is there any way to tone it down? Cheers for the awesome reshade.

Thanks Kuroharvey!

You can reduce the default intensity for lens textures. Just open the "GemFX.cfg" file, and change these parameters:

#define alDirtInt 2.0 // Reduce this to 1.0, or 1.5
#define alDirtOVInt 2.0 // Use the same values as above.

#define alLensInt 2.15 // This one you can reduce it to 1.2, or so - Just a little higher than the two above.

#define fLensdirtIntensity 0.4 // Reduce it a little bit, because this is one of the lesser noticeable lens textures in the reshade.

I hope this solve your problem!

Cheers!

Heads off to you , Charon, great Reshade! Just one question - how can i adjust saturation a little, it's almost black&white; for me

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

Charon1970

Hello there, Lightning927!

To change saturation levels, you should open the "CustomFX.cfg" file, navigate down to the "CROSSPROCESS" section, and rise the number on this line:

#define CrossSaturation 0.78

You can raise it by 0.1 each time until you've achieved a more suitable look for your game. Remember this parameter goes up to 2.0

Cheers!

Greetings. First off, great job on the ReShade. I quite enjoy your take on the post-apocalyptic color palette; personally, I believe that it's one of the best in terms of emanating a cinematic atmosphere. Secondly, is it possible to enable us to pull up the ReShade in-game menu, or would we have to install ReShade and then replace their config files with yours? Cheers.

Hello, DrZuko! Sorry for the late reply.

As far as I know, this version of Reshade I use (which is quite outdated now), doesn't support multi-configs to be used by the same game.

I understand that newer versions of Reshade manages itself as a standalone installer, through which you can associate games executables. Perhaps one could switch between configs with that new version, although I'm not really sure since I never used it.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge about this, I don't use Reshade for new configs for about some months now.

Greetings and the best of luck with that!

What about DoF?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

Charon1970

Hi qqblet!

I don't rely on DoF or other depth-dependent effects on Reshade, because the required management to avoid glitches and conflicts (specially with the UI) is beyond my knowledges (if there is any way to do it in the first place).

You can enable it if you like, but you'll have to use an alpha mask, and even then, you'll have your inventory menu or your PDA blurred, if you happen to be aiming at something close to you.

Recently I did some experiments with Depth of Field, and it looks nice for photography, but don't expect to be practical for gameplay. I'll still have it disable by default in this new version.

Well, thank you very much for your kind words!!

But I'm sorry, you'll have to wait a little! It's probable it won't take that long, either. I just want to make sure everything works fine (and since it's a rework of 3.0, there are less glitches to find, so that why I'm saying it will take less than last time).

You can try Hex 3.0, it's somewhat similar.

Oh, well, are you using any kind of reshade?

That happens mostly when the brightest light (full-white) is replaced with a greyish tone, without altering the lesser whites below. If you're using a reshade, you should try to temporarly disable the color textures or the color correction / HUE / Reinhardt options.

If you aren't using any kind of Reshade or ENB, it could be something in the native shaders which are having some sort of conflict (that effect is used in high-psych anomaly areas). Perhaps a problem with a graphic mod you've installed recently, like Enhanced Sunrises?

I don't know much about native shaders from STALKER, but I could look into that for a workaround, if you want. Just tell me which mods are you using, so I can do a proper research!

Oh, okay. Well, that was an intended effect in 3.0, which can be overrided when changing the color texture. If you wait a little, I can modify it so that effect will disappear.
