YES! And make it so the AI actually see it as a campfire and come sit with you. Talk and drink vodka/eat food to increase relationship with that faction instead of quests being the only way to do it. Also, sitting at campfires increases your health and stamina regeneration rates in addition to scaring off low to mid level mutants (Fleshes up to Bloodsuckers are warded but Burers, Controllers, and Chimeras and the like are all unaffected)

I think it would be great.

I like both ideas but also you should be able to buy and deploy multiple campfires at any location you wish to deploy. Anywhere you want. I know it will need some Research & Development to see how many Campfires can be placed in one area before the game starts lagging or crashing. I've always wanted to add more campfires to the Rookie Village in Cordon or Rostok or the Freedom Base in Army Warehouses. Like Stokker said it should repel low-mid level mutants so it should also help with the Mutant defense side quests allowing you to keep your people from getting killed by mobs of mutants and allowing you to kill the mutants from a safe distance during those little defense side quests. But you have to place the campfires at various enterences the mutants use for this to properly work.

I'm already trying to make one but I learn from tinkering around and since there is no useful guides anywhere I'm still not sure how to make it work. So far I was unable to make a static zone like a campfire portable and dynamic, it just crashes. I will however try to make a simple campfire that emits light.

1) Spawn a "inactive" campfire.
2) Allow player to turn on/off fire in campfire.
3) Allow player to sit down like other stalkers.

It would be awesome.

#kahului

In order to avoid conflicts with stock Call of Misery I just used your ui_icon_equipment.dds and stock CoM 1.0c config files. If you want your addons to work, just edit the Patch config files yourself to add whatever you want.

#ASurfingBird

And yes you can only buy it from Sid and Barman and no one else. Just loot stashes for more challenge.

Also, Ill probably find out for myself once I use it more, but I have to ask. When you drop a gun NPC's will come and pick it up. Since the tent is used by simply dropping it, is it at risk of being swiped by other NPC's?

Not that its really a big deal, its actually funny to think of some random stalker pilfering your tent in the middle of the night.

I will probably kill the mother ****** and take his stuff and mine back...but i will get punish by my faction and have to leave the ****** go away with my tent, sounds like the zone logic to me...

Stalkers ignore it but if you leave something inside the tent, NPCs can push it away and take your stuff anyway.

Just leave your items inside a backpack stash and nobody will touch your campsite.

This is REALLY nice!!! With a Backpack and a Sleeping Bag as well, you can set up your own little permanent base wherever you need to!! Very awesome:) EXACTLY what the game needed!! Will the tent protect against blowouts and psi-storms? If not, is there a way that you can make it do that? That would really complete it in my opinion:) Also, why is the artefacts.ltx file included in this? That seems completely unnecessary.

the ltx file is needed and no a tent will not protect you from blowouts

Yeah, I don't think the artefacts.ltx file that is included with this is even necessary for this mod to function. Pretty sure you can just delete that. This mod has nothing to do with artifacts.

At the very end of the artefacts.ltx file that comes with this mod is a section for [item_lantern]. Copy all of that section starting from [item_lantern]:af base, and paste it at the very end of the artefacts.ltx file from my mod. Now you are good to go and can use my mod along with this one. Just don't use the artefacts.ltx file from this mod obviously. I didn't see that section the first time I glanced through the file, my mistake:)
