The BZ2 CP2 is the second community wide project for the Battlezone 2 Community. This means that in addition to a growing core team of modders, any member of the community may submit ideas and assets or supply voice work or other support.
As the AED are an Archeology Experimentation and Discovery subgroup of the EDF their vehicles are adapted from the stock tree to fit specific rolls. In this case, the Utility Sabre is the core vehicle for convoy escort. Though slightly slower, the Utility Sabre comes equip with a full sensor package and has increased mobility thanks to twin vectored thrusters. The craft sacrifices one of the usual hardpoints to instead carry a general upgrade or utility device. This device can be a general buff to the unit's performance or a mission specific utility package.
Currently, the weapon sacrificed is the mortar, however, pending balance evaluations, this could change.
