When I was young, very young myself had a game I played almost every evening after returning from school, (please respect my little moment of nostalgia XD).
This game called Crash Bandicoot. In this game, it embodied a bandicoot blue shorts topped by a crest of hair and an approach unlikely. All in a totally offset against a background of music and catchy out of nowhere.
Then came the second game : Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. We move to the next step: new graphics, improved gameplay, new in every sense and a well thought Warp Room. All in an atmosphere true to the first episode.
Then, when we expected it without really believing it, the climax of the series finally arrived:
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Majestic, culminated, complete, perfect.
There followed a Spin-Off Special: Crash Team Racing.
It no doubt, the best karting game any console, even competing with its direct competitor: Mario Kart.
Then came the meltdown: Crash Bash is out. Then Naughty Dog sold the license and there is the drama: Vivendi massacre an entire segment of the history of video games with Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, then it follows portages PSP, Wii and other consoles.
The golden age of Playstation nearing completion and it is with a bitter taste that players are saying goodbye to this wonderful license Crash at what was the time when developers were still coming to get us out of beads as Tomb Raider, Abe's Oddysee, Tenchu or Tekken and I'm forgetting others.
Fortunately, Naughty Dog will succeed in surprising us again with Jak & Daxter and Uncharted.
But we have to face facts. Although Crash Of The Titans is a bit level, the original Crash is indeed dead in the studio with Mad Dog.
So it is with great pleasure that I announce my next mod:
A true homecoming in the series. With gameplay, hopefully even better than the original although very similar. I want to respect the basics of gameplay and level structure.
However it is interesting to exploit the potential of the Crytek engine and I think I can revive this license for certain forgotten and often little known to others through my new knowledge through FlowGraph Killer's Skill and especially because I am a true fanatic of the series and video games in general.
I do not pretend to do better than Naughty Dog, far away, but I'll at least try to recreate this special world.
