Dark Ages in British Isles are fascinating, a dismal warlike time, in which people fight for survive. A dark age with deep blend of cultures. 6th and 7th centuries were a time when invaders (Saxons, Angles and Jutes) tried hard their destiny in a new world with the steel of their swords, shields and spears. Ancient people tried to resist, while they saw how their kingdoms are defeated and conquest by those “barbarians”, sorrowfully saw how his belowed world slowly disappeared off the face of the earth. Couldn't forget to talk about the Picts also, who have always inspire great interest. Or about West, other island, as complex as Britain, Ireland in which many people were fighting for a piece land, their clans, livestock and supremacy. In short, it is a world we know a little, but that it is like a magnet for history lovers: a time of war and great deeds, where few (almost none) kings died in his bed.

All the positive reviews made me think that this mod was going to be amazing. However, after installing it, I was proven wrong.

This mod is simply a compilation of a few graphical packs paired with clunky new addons that try to make the game feel different. Executed differently, the mod would have been great; however, many aspects of this mod are underdeveloped or otherwise broken. Misspelling on item and NPC names are rampant, such as "hores" in bars and taverns. Conversations with unique NPC's (hero NPC's) do not involve actual backstory; a simple parenthesis is inserted, saying (the man tells you about his sad and tragic life). All of this contributes to the underdeveloped nature of this mod.

I was also disappointed with some of the "work" mechanics; although this game gives you the opportunity to make money, it does so in a very poorly thought out way. Most jobs that you "work" in farms or cities force you outside of the town, subject to bandits and looters (which will be nearly impossible to deal with early-game).

After an hour and a half of attempting find something good about this mod, I must say that it deserves a 2/10 for general uninteresting, underdeveloped content and poorly thought out mechanics.

Simply amazing. Historically perfect, culturally accurate, and, above all, gives an immense vibe which makes you want to go along with the role play aspect of M&B

Thanks for making this OSP, in our multiplayer mod called Full Invasion we will pretty much use all sources from your mod and add all the factions to multiplayer!!!

All in all a brilliant mod/overhaul, definitely top of the range and one of the best I've played. Only thing that got to me was the wild animals all having horse sound and movement. Eg. Killing a wolf and it neighs as it keels over. 8/10
