Dark Ages in the British Isles were a fascinating, dismal time of constant wars, in which people fought for survival. A dark age with a deep blend of cultures. The 6th and 7th centuries were a time when invaders (Saxons, Angles and Jutes) tried hard to forge their destiny in a new world with the steel of their swords, shields and spears. The ancient peoples tried to resist, while they saw their kingdoms defeated and conquered by the “barbarians”, and sorrowfully saw how their beloved world slowly disappeared off the face of the earth. But other people must not be left unmentioned, like the Picts, who have always inspired great interest. Or to the west, another island as complex as Britain: Ireland in which many people were fighting for a piece of land, their clans, livestock and supremacy. In short, it is a world we know little about, yet a magnet for history lovers: a time of war and great deeds, where few kings (almost none) died in their beds.

My all time favorite mod!

Why do you think that is? Is it because of the broad and expanded form of gameplay? Is it because of the challenge? Or maybe is it because the woman actually look like woman in this mod? Well I think you guys understand where I'm coming from if you have played this mod. From the first glimpse you can tell that a lot of time and effort was put into it. And sure, maybe the graphics aren't really advanced, maybe the animations are choppy, but out of all the mods I've played I can say that this mods truly stands out. It is a mod that has a lot to offer and just when you think you have explored every nook and cranny of it, something else shows up for you entertainment. I've played this mod for hours and can still say that I haven't achieved everything the game has to offer. My opinion would be if you are new to it, give it a couple hours to sink in; its a challenging mod if you don't know how to start off. My hat off to the BRYTENWALDA TEAM for making a extraordinary masterpiece that will go down in my hall of fame!
