In development since 2010, the 18th Cacoward winner and Moddb 2012 MOTY Editors Choice of Creativity Award  Brütal Doom takes Doom into a whole new level. It makes the game much more violent than before. There's much more blood, plus it adds unique gibs, death animations, dismemberments, headshots, executions, fire and explosion particles, flares, shadows over all objects, and much more.
The whole world becomes more real and interactive.You can kick severed limbs and heads (and sometimes, use it to activate some traps in the map earlier, or even kick them against enemies to do some damage), you can shoot enemies' heads to deal more damage (and cause more gruesome deaths) you can destroy most things in the the scenario (trees, lamps, hanging bodies, etc), you can paint the floor, the walls, and even the ceiling with blood, you can push the explosive barrels to make traps, or grab them and use like an explosive weapon, you can silently take down enemies from behind and perform stealth kills, the chainsaw actually cuts the enemies in two. When you find the berserk pack and get super strength, you can perform cinematic executions and RIP AND TEAR your foes with your bare hands. Some enemies will scream in anguish and try to crawl away when near death, and they can be used as human shields, and much, much more

 Everything in Brutal Doom is extremely intense. Everything sounds louder, looks bigger, moves faster, and hits harder. You can even fell the impact of explosions. Enemies are harder and smarter, and weapons and explosions are loud as fuck. Your weapons have been upgraded to a deadly arsenal, completely throwing the vanilla Doom's "progressive weapon system" through the window. Every weapon is powerful and have it's pros and cons, and a weapon will never be outclassed when you find a new weapon.You have new abilities too. With any weapon selected, you can press Q (default bind) to kick enemies at close range and send them away. Press F (default bind) to taunt enemy players, and Z or X (default binds) to wave to other players in cooperative modes.
 Brütal Doom will make the good an old Doom have a new and fresh look. It will give you a reason to play all the Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom levels again. This mod also works with almost every megawad and map pack around. Take a breath, and prepare to RIP AND TEAR HUGE GUTS!!!!!

The reason why people have problems getting revenent guns and flame cannon is because bodies can no longer be interactable, which was unfortunately one of my favorite things with corpes. So I'd say the way that corpes are underneath doors should be where that when a door closes on a corpse, SQUISH! Just like Duke Nukem, except more bloody, and gibby but that's what will make it so funny. It's not patience really, all you really need is well, a barrel, and an explosive weapon. I tried the chainsaw on a mancubus and his flamecannon would not come off, so in that sense chainsaw is fatally useless.

Really? I tried v19 with Beyond Hell and Earth and it showed the old SS. It means no MP40 without means of cheating, bumber. Although if you do bring back our "preffered nazis" that are really crazy and drop MP-40s, I think you should have a variety, some officers, some ss, some guards, the pinkies just for that map be replaced with german sheperds, etc and maybe some variety of ww2 weapons, incorporate a more modern and classic theme in the wolfenstein levels.

In fact in the mod I'm making I'm going to have several wolfenstein levels that are either themed on RTCW, ideas similar to original levels, and ideas I came up with, but that really puts a fork in the road. About the DoomNukem weapons. I realized I could use Brutal Doom at this early point if I get what I need to make my mod work. And I WANT to use Brutal Doom otherwise gameplay would be boring.

Launched Brutal19 and ran to the nearest imp to do a fatality to him... Seems like there are some bugs in melee combat in v19 release: when right-punching the left fist quickly flickers forward as well, but without hitting. I suppose the left fist flicker is a glitch because there's no sound of the left fist against the wall in this case, only the right one makes a sound.
Also, the left-right-left hook combo now often fails.

There were no such issues in test version v8748.
Sarge, could you please make a mutator fixing this, if not re-upload v19?

Another change I'd request is increase the cruelty health bonus to 10, as 5 is really too little 'cause the player takes a lot of damage to approach monsters for a melee fight.

I wanted to say how great i find it that you are doing such a awesome mod for a awesome game like The Ultimate Doom.
Games like that, Duke Nukem 3D, Half-Life, Counter-strike, Quake, Unreal Gold, Wolfstein and many others are games with bad graphics, but amazing gameplay, because GAMEplay does the game. I've showed this game to some of my friends wich are usually playing CoD on they were making eyes.

I see why you made taunts optional, the whole annoyance in multiplayer.. but why make the combat rolls a mutator? when everybody is going to be using it anyway...

And why integrate Janitor? I've played Brutal Doom for ages now and have never gone below 60 FPS. Isn't the whole point of Brutal Doom to be... messy? I like leaving a mess.

and whatever happened to the Regeneration mutator?

But aside from that, I think that you've given us alot over the years. Pretty much brought Doom 1 and 2 into the modern age, made it relevant again. Made it more fun than most games out there. There are full priced titles out there that aren't half as fun as your mod.. whatever you decide to do in the future is cool with us. hmm maybe Doom Vacation mod? DoomGuy Goes to Maimi.

Brütal Doom clearly deserves a 10, for several reasons: First, it has been developed almost single handedly by a goodwill individual, who clearly has shown the outmost dedication and perseverance through 2 years of continued development, besides from being always open-minded and patient, hearing suggestions and criticism and enduring ludicrous amounts of flame-wars on some of the forums where the project was being discussed.
