Nice Blood on the Wall V2.1
With this addon for Brutal Doom the blood decals on the walls are replaced.
The blood is darker, and big bloodsplats are animated.
Since the bigger decals use RBP colored PNGs it needs a bit more GPU power.
Also it might cover up switches, so make sure to look around before killing everybody.
HOW TO INSTALL
Just run the pk3 file AFTER Brutal Doom and everything else, so it is loaded as the last pk3 file.
To accomplish this, edit the .ini file in your GZDoom (or Zandronum) folder.
Under [doom.Autoload] place as the last line:
Path=$PROGDIR/NiceWallBlood.pk3
in case you extracted this file into the GZDoom directory.
This addon does not break savegames, so it is no problem to continue an old savegame.
V2.1 Changes
- fixed the offsets of the images - now the decals appear at the right spot, and not at the bottom right of where they should be.
- deleted images and decal configurations that are not needed anymore
V2 Changes:
- Added support for green blood
- changed small bloodsplats to ALPHA MAPS (might increase performance a bit)
- added support for Brutal Doom V21 (Sarge changed some names and the file structure)
When using this with Brutal Doom V21 you'll notice that there is less blood on the walls by comparison to older BD versions.
There after a few headshots you actually couldn't see the wall anymore.
Now you'll have more fine splatters - this is not related to this addon but to the settings Sarge did in Brutal Doom itself, and I actually like it!
This way the walls become even more unique and not just plain red.
Anyway, if you prefer the old way you can still use this addon with an older version of Brutal Doom.

It seems like the floor decals in this screenshot may not be working, but the wall and ceiling ones do... I may be wrong about this!
The decals on the floor are not part of this add-on, hence the title "nice blood on the walls". The floor decals are part of Quaker540s mod. Its basically BD with a lot of enhancements. Just have a look over here, you won't regret it: Moddb.com

If you're thinking about downloading this and just so happen to look over the comments at the people who for whatever reason couldn't get it to work...don't worry.
This is seriously the most top notch blood mod I've ever seen for doom. Period.
Just ******* download it. It is one of the best mods for a mod out there. It puts the gore right where it should be and picks up where sarge kinda blew it on v19.
Everyone else is putting out sound packs (and sticking them in the brutal addons for some ******* reason) and straight ripping off brutal doom and relabeling it while they pull the doom out piece by piece.
This mod to me really brought it back to "okay ***** crazy...but it's still doom".

This looks really good! I wasn't so sure at first but now I am glad I got it. The effect on the walls is really cool. The blood dripping down with bits of guts around the place really is a **** yeah moment.
Obviously the best blood decal pack around.

I played it on a wad that i got,and the blood is the same.I used brutal doom too.What do I do.
Make sure to load it AFTER the your wad and AFTER brutal doom.
I hope this will be compatible with upcoming v20 of Brutal Doom. Sergeant's blood is not even close to this tbh.

Very happy to report this still works flawlessly, and integrates perfectly into Brutal DOOM v20. Why on Earth this simple and great-looking modd isn't getting more attention is beyond me.

It worked with the test versions of v20, so I was pretty sure that it also works with the final version.
I might have to do a tiny update for painkillers upcoming mega-mod, since this version doesnt support green blood so far (which isn't necessary in normal BD since there is no green blood). Still, if you use this addon with a mod / submod that has green blood, you wont get a crash, you'll just get the normal decals for green blood.
I think it doesn't get too much attention because it's pretty low in the addon list. And yet, I'm totally fine with it. If someone is interested enough in BD, he might check out the whole addon list, and since the title of this addon is pretty simple, they'll know what they can expect from this. In general I think it's a great deal that there's so much customization going on here!

Hello Stiegi may I ask you please where can I find any green blood mod with green blood sprites for hellknights and baron of hell or how theyre called ? I was searching but nothing. Its really sad because cacodemon already have blue blood sprites but those two enemies havent.

Greetings! I must admit - Those are the best blood splashes I ever seen in Doom mods! Please tell me You working on ground and ceiling as well. This splashes are much better than in "original" Brutal Doom". AMAZING! ;)
I did not liked the 19th version of BD, and still prefer to stay on 18th, even when 20th is out. And this addon is just awesome, as default blood in 18th is awful.

HOW TO INSTALL:
Entry in the config:
Open the [user name].ini in the Zandronum / GZ Doom directory
Look for [Doom1.Autoload] or [Doom2.Autoload] or [Plutonia.Autoload] and so on and load it after any other mod just by adding this: "path=d:\games\Doom\NiceWallBlood.pk3" without " in case your direcory of Doom is d:\games\doom
So you just need to work with a texteditor like Notepad. Just let me know if you need further help
I found that this mod doesn't work with certain really old wads like Memento Mori2 or example. Other than that it works on every wad/mod, a very good addition. Highly Highly recommend this for anyone.
This is and will forever continue to be one of my absolute must have brutal doom add-ons.
Gave this a few tries and the new blood on walls looks good, but very weird in combination with the floor/celling blood, since those decals are noticibly brighter red.
I'd really like to see a pack that fully changes blood, so it all fits together, style wise.

With the latest version of current GZDoom and BD v21 I can not get it to work, this mod was good for BD v19 and v20, with Zdoom, I use GZDoom and BD v21 and nothing, I've tried everything and I can not get it working U_U
Is it one of my favorite mods, any idea what can happen? Can it be a compatibility problem?
