Intro
This simple mod is a script that shows an image in a given position depending on if you have a grenade loaded into the Brutal Doom Machinegun or not.
The position of the image, and the image itself can be changed, more below on how to do this.
This mod should be working with any custom HUD out there. Let me know if it don't.
Two files are included in the download, one for GZdoom and on for Zandronum. The only difference is that the GZ version has the option to select X and Y positon and image added to the GUI option menu. (Not supported in Zandronum yet).
How to change things
GZdoom
- Go to Options -> HUD options -> Machinegun Grenade Indicator.
- Set your prefered X and Y position with the sliders.
- Change the image depending on taste.
- Press "Execute options" (or else your changes may not have any effect).
Zandronum/GZdoom
- Go to the console and change the position and image with the following variables:
TE_MGX X-position on screen Values 1-100
TE_MGY Y-position on screen Values 1-100
TE_MGimg What image to show Values 0-3
0 = Rocket
1 = Rocket big
2 = On/off light
3 = Green/Red light
- After your changes write "puke 1045" to enable your changes.

If you wish to implement this mod into your own HUD or mod, feel free to do so, no need to ask me permission first. A little credit somewhere would be nice though ;-)
This is a sub mod of my bigger mod Tomtefars Extension:

Great! This will do until Sarge makes the Reload button reload the GL.
I've increased the size of the lights from 6x6 to 18x18 for better visibility in battle among explosions and flashes

handy
Very useful
I tried GZDoom and saw that the indicator light size doesn't need an increase for it.
So I've made another little edit to the addon, where in the second option (the light going off with GL unloaded) the light is green, i.e. green when loaded (I prefer it over the yellow one that resembles fire) and off when unloaded.

Very handy.
