Description

This is a complete modern and professional remake of The first episode of Doom: Knee Deep in the Dead's soundtrack. This album is free to everyone for the continued support by the Doom community of my work here, 3DRealms and Interceptor Entertainment. I also feel like this is my way of giving back to one of the largest and loyal communities ever established in the game industry. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it over the last year.

Cool! Do you plan to remake the rest as well?

Andrew posted several E2 and Doom 2 remakes on his Youtube channel. I think he is planning to completely remake the soundtrack of both games at some point.

He's already announced on his YouTube channel that he's close to completing a full DOOM 1 OST remake. He also said he has DOOM II in the works.

He should have it as a separate addon, not attached to Brutal Doom's unofficial high quality soundtrack since it's his own work.

Not everything of Andrews needs to be associated with BD.

1) I associated this addon with both the game and Brutal Doom's pages, for the purpose of giving him a wider audience.

2) It was Andrew himself who asked me to assemble and upload the wad.

That's why I left Maps of Chaos associated because I built it during my interest in BD, atop people appear to enjoy and like it. It's general + BD now.

It was my idea simply because Sergeant_Mark_IV helped me out a lot with constructive criticism along the way and we met through my dev on ROTT 2013, nothing more nothing less. I play a lot of BD so it made since in my own head. No biggie you can add these into whatever you want though feel free if you choose to do so and BD isn't your thing.

This is definitely some high quality music that also captures the true Doom feeling. I have heard quite a few variations of Doom songs and I must say this is amongst the best.

Just tried it with some E1 replacements, probably the most awesome tracks I've heard in a long while. Some of the Knee Deep in the Dead eps:

It's DiabolicaAnimalus logged in as a guest. I'm currently working on my own soundtrack for all the Dooms, including the Plutonia Wad and others. I've been working on this for a while, and is in part, the reason I haven't been online lately. Well, that and my laptop took a horible dump a few months back and I lost everything. Point of fact is though, I'm coming back, and I garantee my metal compilations will be as heavy and as brutal as one would expect.

Just for the record, many of the tracks are being completely rewritten. That's not to say that they will be different, but they will have an element of originality to them, something to divide my metal remakes from all the others out there.

Just figured I'd post that here, as well, god damn it! SGT's work is truely enspiring and I figure he deserves dibs on the announcement.

Thanks Sarge... It's dudes like you that help keep the godfather of FPSs and Modding fresh and just as exciting as it was twenty two years ago. Thanks brody, from one loyal life-long Doom Guy to another!
