Bridge CE is a custom map project started in mid 2006. Originally intended to be a multiplayer map set in New Mombasa in the Halo universe, it rapidly evolved into something much more ambitious. It is now a new mini-campaign spanning two levels, set in the Halo universe as a loosely connected prequel to Halo.

The campaign is set on Epoch, a colony world on the outer reaches of UNSC controlled space, just a few years after the first contact with the Covenant. The colony is one of the first to be attacked by the Covenant, but unlike previous Covenant attacks, the defenders of the planet have just barely managed to keep the Covenant at bay long enough to organize a last ditch effort at mass evacuation. However, the human forces have taken heavy casualties, and those who remain are severely outnumbered and outgunned.

It's a typical first person shooter plot, but this mod isn't about doing anything new or groundbreaking; it is merely an attempt at making an addition to Halo's campaign, aiming to match the original's style, gameplay, and story immersion.

The script is nearly finished, and recruitment of voice actors should begin soon- we plan to have 11 semi-professional actors voicing the characters. There are several cinematics planned, and some of them look to be fairly epic. The two levels should take about one to two hours each to complete on Legendary, assuming the player doesn't skip any fighting.

The two levels are titled "Bridge" and "Scythopolis." We hope to release Bridge some time early 2008, and release its conclusion Scythopolis as soon as possible thereafter, although it may be as soon as 2 months or as late as a year, we just don't know yet.

Note: When the mod was first posted it was for Halo CE. Then for a few months it switched to Halo 2 Vista as I thought it would be possible to create a single player map for that game. Unfortunately, once the game was released it became apparent that the tools for editing it were severely lacking, and as a result, I have flip-flopped once again, back to good old Halo Custom Edition, where all the content has been so far anyway.

Quick update this week because I've got a lot to do and very little progress to show. Basically, work continues apace, and everything is in a state of partial completion, so I can't really post anything new. But fear not, for I have just uploaded a video to YouTube detailing the most recently finished area (which actually isn't finished in the video). Since I've got nothing else, that will take the place of the screenshot this week. As I said in the previous update, I've been on vacation, and Monday is when I officially resume my unofficial work. There is some exciting stuff in progress right now, but with me rebuilding my computer on Tuesday, packing on Thursday, moving on Friday, and beginning the Fall semester the next Monday, I may be quite busy with other things. It's okay though, because I now have minions doing my bidding, and they'll have something to show for it. Muahahahaha! So, here's that video I mentioned- hope it holds until next update. Cheers!

Silly indecisive me, I've switched back. It's for Halo CE, and that's final. I changed the game it's for, but it still seems to be listed under Halo 2. Sigh.

It's so long I'm considering splitting it up into two separate maps. IDK though, we'll just have to see how long it is when the whole thing is playable, cause I'm not there quite yet.

that looks cool, I tried mapping for halo CE once, didnt really turn out to well.
Will it be a long level, or are u planning to make an extra campaign around it? Cus i would be resonably dissapointed if it were such a small level like the final level of halo 2, I dont recall the name atm cus even how big the map might have seen, it was just actucally 10 minutes of walking, driving and shooting.
