BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.
From back to front, left to right the things are:
Double layer tech 3 walls (can't have a third layer).
Hades, Myrmidon, Cerberus, Burst Master, Zapper, another Hades.
Gunther, TML-4, Auto Gun, Tracer, Little Birtha, another Gunther.
Tech 2 wall (laser fence effect for show only).
Super super boring tech 1 wall.
finally someone made good looking walls for this game! AWESOME! will you make walls for other factions too? (at least pls for UEF)
Definitely. UEF will be getting something very similar to this. Aeon and Seraphim are getting shield walls at T3 instead.
The lazer wall is so fitting to the cybran's, nice work.
Funny how the laser wall looks like it has a mix of TS Nod's wall on the lower section.
Does that mean that the walls of the Seraphim and Aeon can not take defenses, like Cyran and UEF? Would mean that the walls of the Cybran and UEF are the only ones who have their 'own' defenses! Or get the walls of these fractions separately towers for the installation of defenses on the top?
How it works is that the walls that can have defenses are technically factories with the ability to give the order to build size 4 defense and indirect fire buildings on top of themselves. They have a build rate of 1 (the lowest that will still allow things to assist them) so without assistance from real engineers it takes them about half an hour to do anything. The turrets they build are the same ones as engineers would build, which means it can build things from other mods, but can't have things from other races. There is currently no plan to have Aeon or Seraphim walls able to build defenses. I may change that in the future if there is enough request for it.
To Balthassar: Does the double layer T3 walls have an higher armor? Almost looks! (I don't think so, but it could be.)
The second layer is a separate unit (which you may have already found out) so they have separate health.
