Yes! I've envisioned something like this for a long time!

I can just see it now. Gordon and Alyx fighting Combine on board the vessel, they try to interface with the technology but it malfunctions and sends it to the border world, except this time it's much different now since Gordon last ventured through it, it's been assimilated by the Combine in many ways, a Citadel can be clearly seen mining through a floating island of rock, smart-wall barriers with force-fields everywhere, Xen synths wandering about the landscape with a zombie-like gait almost, the sky is no longer the alien-green it was, now it's an uncanny gaseous scorched atmosphere full of sentient cloud-fungi, ancient satellites, this isn't Xen, at least not anymore, this is the Combine Overworld.

This story doesn't have much to do with the HL2 and and the following games, I remind you that this mod isn't about Gordon and Alyx, is about Jean Pierce and the Borealis experiment.

Well you say that, but including Xen in the mod? that's a pretty Half-Life-y aspect to add.

I think you are in the good way friend, but follow a little the write of marc laidlaw, about the borealis traveling dimensions, past, future, and maibe some things about half life, not all but some, you are in the right way but follow some things about the write, that would be amazing.

@GLaDOS77, I don't think the Combine knows about Xen.

It seems that you have to look back at the story, because honestly, you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure they invaded it after Nihilanth died, it's implied he was retreating from them at the end of HL1 and Humanity basically got caught in the chase and after taking Xen they went for us.

well actually when Black mesa was nuked this created portal storms all over earth making people retreat to major cites, plus the portal storms acted like a beacon and attracted the combine to our dimension. plus if they found out about xen they would of figured out about by now how to teleport in dimension

Maybe Jean could be a black mesa spy that goes to aperture, as they are referenced in portal 1 and 2

So you tell Borealis's teleporting device uses the border world, much like the resistance teleporters do... That's a bold decision you make!
