This modification is intended to improve and enhance your Blue Shift gaming experience. We believe this modification can re-glorify the true potential this game held, since it wasn't subpar to Half-Life and Opposing Force's standards.
Blue Shift: Reassignment intends to:
1. Enhance all models.
2. Improve all weapon, ambience, and numerous miscellaneous sounds.
3. Replace many GUI components such as weapon selection, ammo and special effect sprites.
4. Add new weapons, such as a MP5 and M4, Desert Eagle, and M249.
5. Implement Detail Textures.
We do have more plans for the further improvement of Blue Shift, however they remain secretive as we will reveal them on a later date...
This mod requires the installation of both Half-Life and Blue Shift for the Steam platform.

Welcome to the formal media release of Blue Shift: Reassignment. After being in development incognito for nearly over one year, we have come to present our works. This modification is intended to improve and enhance your Blue Shift gaming experience. We believe Gearbox didn't do a great job with this expansion to Half-Life, and with this modification we can re-glorify the true potential this game held.
Blue Shift: Reassignment intends to enhance all models, most sounds and sprites, implement detail textures, add new weapons and enemy NPCs, and enhance the visual effects via code. We do have more plans for the improvement of Blue Shift, however they remain secretive as we will reveal them on a later date.
Oh & I forgot to ask so the M4 will be sharing the same ammo as the M249 right? same thing for the Desert Eagle & revolver too?
If so the M4 should have a 30 round mag & the desert eagle should have a 9 round mag unless it & the revolver are .44 magnum instead of .357 magnum in which case the .44 D.Eagle has an 8 round mag.
Also M249s are usually equipped with 100 round/belt polymer boxes instead of 50 like in opposing force however there are M249 tactical SPWs used by Spec. Ops that use 50 round belts in canvas ammo boxes.

You use some diamond mod models rigth?but the mod is very good.
No, DiamonD doesn't have the rights to use DiamonD's stuff.
Yea this is a really lovely looking mod but there are still some min or errors :P like for example in the video when the player fires the M4s m203 -_- at least made the player holding the mag with the trigger finger actually on the m203 trigger when firing it :/ kinda like the anims that HL Opposing Force Redux mods M4 does.
On another note some optional extra skins would be nice too like say a desert camo, MARPAT urban, & MARPAT desert camo grunts would be brilliant & would keep people on all sides happy.
Also would it be possible to have an extra optional replacement for the RPG with the Mark 153 (Mk.153) SMAW? Its a re loadable RPG made just for the USMC & to date no one has made it IE it would be original

Just my 2 cents :P best of luck with the mod chaps & don't take my suggestions too seriously.
the only thing that I really recommend is that you guys fix the M4s grenade animation so that the player actually pulls the m203s trigger :/
Given the current state of the mod, I can only go so far as to say that I can look into replacing the grenade suggestion. Right now, we do not have the resources to model, UV, and texture a whole new RPG replacement nor do we have the resources to create wholly new animations for the M4. Thank you for taking the time to express your constructive criticisms, it's always welcome here.
