Almost a decade after its release, Blood 2 will be resurrected as an all new game. It's receiving a major face lift, and been completely retextured and extensively modified. The game code will be extensively worked on, and new weapons and enemies will be featured, all in a style that is more closely related to the original Blood. All new levels will also enhance the brand new storyline created for this modification. Much work has already been completed on this massive effort to repair and improve Blood 2 and there's plenty of new and exciting features still yet to come.

Report RSS A Brand New Year

I've become a little lazy with providing updates here, but work is continuing and things are progressing nicely. Here's a brief update of things at the moment.

It's been awhile since I've provided any updates on this site. Most of my time though has been spent on re-coding this game to eliminate all of the bugs and to improve the gameplay. It's a huge job trying to recode an entire game, but I've also managed to accomplish a few other things:

-experiments in terrain building have provided some interesting results, and I can guarantee that the game will have some interesting environments to explore.

-a few new models have been built and imported into the game. This was actually a major accomplishment, as it required the use of an antiquated version of 3dsmax.

-even more textures and skins have been created.

-additional level construction is on going.

-new music and ambiance will eventually be provided by Nicola "Neurological" Capecci, whose previous credits include the fine work done on the Eternal Damnation mod for Postal 2.

-a video of some of the modified retail levels was created just for fun. After all if it wasn't for Blood 2's failure this project wouldn't exist. Youtube.com

Work will continue until I'm satisfied with everything, so it may be awhile before this project reaches completion. Additional updates can also be found on the project homepage.
