Hey guys! Another new patch for Blitzkrieg mod!

In this patch we changed veterancy levels a bit, so certain units like rangers, certain stormtroopers, certain commandos, snipers and some others will require a bit more XP to level up, some less.
All changes together should even the game a bit more, especially within doctrines of the same faction. Most "nerfs" were to Inf and Terror doctrines, which were played the most. Both AB and Luft got some buffs, we will see how it plays out. I would like to remember here, that not every doctrine should deal with everything and especially not with one unit. While there was a certain shift to that in the past, I wouldn't like to continue this trend. Also remember that playing games with or against multiple of the same doctine is not that of an example how to balance. If you will play against 4 arty doctrines you can ... surprisingly... expect loads of arty. And we will not change how arty doctrines work just because of that. Same applies to other doctrines, 4x RAF means that there will be planes all over the place. Also that something takes 4CP in the tree in one doctrine doesnt mean that there cant be the same unit in other doctine for 8CP.

Back to the patch .. It also features new mode called currently BK Fun Mode, in which all resource income is doubled, popcap static 350 - this mode will NOT be balanced and should not be played in "serious" games.

Majority of the changes were done by MarKr, so big props to him.

We also plan to make another mappack in near future, so stay tuned!

We included the resource limits so that players don't spam call-in units. If f.e. you call a Tiger and it get's destroyed after 2 minutes you would be able to instantly call-in another one if you had enough resources (let's say 10.000 Manpower like you want it). But we want players to take care of their tanks, in the current system you ahve to watch for your tanks because you know thta you can't call-in another one instantly if it get's blown away, you first have to save again. This also rpevents the turtling attitude to save masses of resources and the spamming of units as soon as the turtler starts his offensive.

The most important reason is the artillery spamming though. In older versions you could just save thousands of ammo and once you are ready for the offensive could bombard the enemy for 10+ minutes non-stop because of your 5-6 K ammo.

With the current limitations you have to think twice before you do something and hoenstly, those limits aren't that low. In previous versions they ahd been WAY lower then the current ones, but we won't increase them any more, this would screw the whole point of having them and would require new balancing tweaks and a lot of additional work. We are quite happy with the current system and so are most of the players.

ETA Is unknown but not long. Thats what I know. Yeah Reason I ask for the resource increase is because im tired of the maximum amount.Its okay just do what you can then we'll go with what you do.

I've been waiting ages for patch 1.70. I Know how hard it is to make things perfect but release it whenever you can. Good luck.

We COULD increase them, but they are a vital part of our balancing and that's why we won't change those limits.

BK v1.70 is progressing well, we hope to be able to release it within the next 7-10 days. But don't quote me on it, as always: it's done when it's done. ;)

Yes, but the Henschel won the contract!
And if you search for videos or pictures of the Tiger II turret you will see this very often, Porsche turret was only a prototype, so it was little used!

You mean they have to change the "Porsche-Turm" in a "Henschel-Turm" ? And the Porscheturret was used as well in WW II like the Henschelturret ;)

I had maybe similar problem - my base was destroyed and when i repaired HQ i coudnt call in anything more then just my inf call in(strange i could still call em when HQ was down ;) ). I was hoping to make last stand with King Tiger but icon just didnt show up ;/

Best COH mod you will find, most realistic you will get in COH, with no new factions this mod pwns everything, imagine with new factions, but its alot of work, so dont get angry on the devs if they dont add any, which i dont think they will, but anyway, play it and you will never find yourself using the vCOH shortcut again ;)

IMO "realistic" damage system should be accompanied by at least somewhat realistic resource availability and NUMBERS, yes numbers. I mean, how the hell are you calling realistic several tigers (or some other of the kind) against few shermans anyway?
In other words - nazi-favouring (game-wise) mod, plus I, personally, find it to quickly become a bit boring. And if you really want realism - go play "Men of war", or any of the various mods for it, including nazi-biased (game-wise).
