This mod also works with Company of Heroes and/or Tales of Valor. Opposing Fronts is not required! There are many features that I added, for example: - a much more realistic Weapon damage system - many new skins for infantry and tanks (and wrecks) also including many of my own made tank skins - many new units for all factions - modified and enlarged Commander Trees (now 16 Upgrades!) - new abilities - new sounds - recommended new maps included

A grenade could kill that thing. Throw and kills the gunners.

really? so a soldier can crawl across a battlefield, dodge MG and HE fire and toss a grenade without getting gunned down beforehand?

Well yes in CoH. Be a grenade could take out the gunners.

he has a very good point. charge a squad of infantry at a tank, the squad will end up right next to the tank with a few cuts and bruises in CoH

Yes in CoH, but in BK the damage system is way more lethal and in the next patch the Mgs will be buffed even more. No infantry squad will be able to sprint up to a Mg and throw a nade without being killed.

You know it was a joke? To point out it's open top and ease to kill the gunners similar to the Marder III?

Nice Model =) I like this version of the M8.
But i have a question and i know its not really historical but, can you add the Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus (call in) and the Ferdinand Tankdestroyer (Elefant). I think these two and especially the Ferdinand are important tanks for the germans. The Maus not so really but it was important for hitler to have ultra-heavy tank *überschwerer Panzer*.

Please think about it.

SS-Königstiger.

No maus! This mod is supposed to be historically accurate.

The Germans are already stupidly stronger than the Allies in this mod, no need for a Maus or an Elefant until the Allies get some armour improvements.

The Allies had crappy armour compared to the German's nearly the entire war. The best tanks the Allies could have within the historical time frame would have to be the Sherman Firefly and M26 Pershing.

they can be flanked bij infantry due there is no mg on top

It's ridiculess though! A MG-42 will mince squads while a M1918 or Vickers will just get dirt on their jackets. Plus the Germans start with early AT even though the Allies have to wait a bit for their own vehicles.

The Allies did not have "crappy" armor during the war... Many of the German tanks at the beginning of the war were outclassed by the Polish, French, British etc. tanks for example.

Reward unit? Replace the Jagdpanther but at the cost of a lot more resources to build due to it's godlike armour?

This tank needs to be put back a bit in combat and given more to it's role similar to the Sherman 105mm. This thing was mostly firing it's light howitzer as a light howitzer not screwing over entire infantry squads as they come.

The Sherman 105 in this mod should be more like this vehicle, the Sherman 105 in real life was used as a direct fire weapon.

I saw this model in action yesterday and it can really do some damage against inf. The ai seems to produce light tanks in excess to my liking, but I suppose it was intended that way. Anyways it makes the tank ai overuns a lot less frecuent

Hey Quakeriley and willychong, ACHTUNG!! This is NOT a tank!. It uses the M5 hull, but it is a self-propelled 75mm howitzer. Issued to the HQ company in light tank battalions and HQ troops in Mechanized Cavalry squadrons and employed for indirect fire from behind that ridge behind the front lines. Any infantry tank killer teams would have to make it through the line companies/troops to get within range and in a properly run battle, that ain't gonna happen. And nobody is gonna be stupid enough to employ 'em in the front lines, the Schoolhouses at Knox and Riley knocked that idea out of peoples' heads ASAP.

Description

The M8 "Scott" is based upon the M5A1 Stuart chasis. It has an open turret with a direct firing 75mm howitzer. For additional AA and anti-infantry support a turret-mount M2HB 50cal. heavy machine gun is placed on the turrets rear. So this new vehicle is optimal for supporting advancing tanks.
