Blitzkrieg II is a World War 2 total conversion for Command and Conquer: Generals. You can fight as the Allies(with America, UK and France as subsides), Axis(with Tank, Rocket and Jet research tree's) or the Soviets(with Tank and Homeland Defence subsides). Not only do we have all new units, models and sides...but all new maps and gameplay. No longer do you just collect supply piles. In Blitzkrieg II you have to secure your holdings in towns to ensure a steady flow of money. We have also given point requirements for most of our units. Meaning, when you start out a game...you can only build infantry and light vehicles. As you kill enemy troops, you can unlock heavier tanks and planes.

The Maus fought Soviet tanks right in the polygon where it was tested a while ago. Later, 2 exemplairs of them were captured by Soviets and transported to Kubinka.

One Maus tank engaged soviet vehicles but was eventually overrun and destroyed; the other never saw combat; the germans tried destroying it when the factory was close to being overrun... The example that's in the Kubinka museum was pieced together from the remains of the two...

to clarify something, the Maus was...

a) Not destroyed by the Russians

b) the Maus saw never action during WW2.

Only two prototypes were finished, but the other one was not completed fully (it had no turret). only the first prototype was completed with a working engine and a mounted gun in a casted turret. But it had been mechanically sabotaged by the Germans before abandoning it. then it was captured by the advancing Soviet forces.

The second one was planned for defending the Reichstag but the engine made problems just the half of the way from the eastern prototype test range.. so they blow that one up. Later.. the russians tried to get out the fully working turret and pick it on the body which was left at the test range. So it was possbible to get used.. or "ready" but the engine made problems.
