Description

The footage shows the implementation of the melee system in the absolute first stage. As it both lacks timers, syncing with animations and the usage of the combo tree, I chose to call this a concept.

As a concept, this footage shows that we got started with the implementation, and taken the melee range into considerations.

Since we are unsure whether to implement particle effects at a later stage, I have chosen the safe route of using the original HL weaponsystem. While it seems more of a clutter at first, it will simplify a lot if we should use particles at a later stage.

Implementing the combo tree will be rather simple. It is the syncing between animations, attacks and the way to proceed in the combo system that will provide a challenge.
