In the distant future a new moon has been discovered in the shadow of Heliph-57F. The discovery was not only made by humans, but an insectoid alien race called the Xenamorphs have also laid claim to the moon. The two races have battled for centuries and their weapons have grown to such tremendous power that they could destroy an entire planet. Both Human and Xeanamporphs decided to settle who gets control of the newly discouvered moon through a race. Each side would get 3 racers. The human vehicals made from metals and the alien vessels created from flesh. The Centre for Arts and Technology is proud to present Blackout. Blackout is the Centre's second game developed in class. Blackout is being developed by seven Game Art and Animation students under the name Wretched Sloth Productions, with the helpful guide of a technical lead and executive producer.

HL2 OR or AND Hl2DM
I have Hl2 and I put it in the right directory.
It appears in Steam but when I couble click it, it leads me to the store like it does for mod who need ESPECIALLY HL2DM (not only HL2)
I dont have the package. I bought via steam: DOD S, HL2 and CS S in this order - I havent bought the package instead of DOD S cause I thought I can paly mods like I could with CS retail for HL2 mods
Then I bought HL2 to play the mods.
Pros
-Great and easy to get into for a couple of hours
-A good nice selection
-The best racing mod out in my opionion
-Very challenging
-Fast gameplay is nice
-Lockable and unlockable camrea
-Shortcuts are cool
-Crashing opponents is fun
-Terra Beach is the best map I have ever seen.
Cons (theres alot but there minor)
-Bad textures in one map
-User interface is hard to understand
-How fast is it really going on the bottom right it just wiggles
-Crashing is a little messed up
-Not many people online
-Needs to smooth out the controls
-Hard to play too long due to low number of maps
-Not many players
-Needs better driving animations
-Weapons anyone?
-What teams?
-Can't join in mid game or you'll lose
-If your in the lead the only way to lose is to crash (Big problem)
I have yet to play a racing game made on a hl engine that I have fun playing (besides racing with custom created things in Garry's Mod)

Why the hell are "Xenamorphs" in this game which are obvious rips of Xenomorphs.

Yeah you need HL2, HL2DM, CSS - The basic package in otherwords.
