Black Sierra is a modern day cooperative horror game being designed on the Unreal engine, using the latest from Unreal Tournament 3 Black Sierra will deliver a bone-chilling atmosphere combined with a good action based game play. Designed around cooperative play, and to be replayed, Black Sierra will send players through the mountain as a tactical unit sent to perform a search and rescue after the mountain community stopped communications entirely. Upon arrival goals are changed, and orders are made to get to the bottom of the mountain in an attempt to survive. Starting from the top, and working your way down players will battle creatures of unknown origin through towns, forests, mines and more.
Here we are again with another Black Sierra update. Unreal Tournament 3 was released, and we sat down and took a look at the new engine and editor, and after a few hours of fiddling Kyben was working away on the first demo map for Black Sierra, and after a rather long time of constant mouse moving, we've arrived with some early screen shots for everyone to see the sort of atmosphere we're reaching for, just try and keep in mind these are still early screens.....

On the left we have a nice view of some of the mountain, and on the right we have part of the mining facility.
Now onto the other news! Not only have we been working hard on maps, but we've also managed to finished texturing our Remington model (as you should of noticed by now), modeled two more weapons(the customized M4 and the Colt .45), created a rather nice list of static meshes, and we've even been texturing some of them too.
And last but not least, we would like to welcome Mwinteringham, also known as Mark to the Black Sierra team. He has joined us as our Sound Engineer and has already created us a nice list of weapon sounds in the short time he's been with us, but we can't let you guys hear those yet ;).
