Welcome back Mr. Freeman, Black mesa is now available on Early Access, Black Mesa is what we had all hoped half life source would have been, a total re invisoning of the Classic brought up to date with higher definition models, textures and more.

Crowbar collective state. “Making a game with the scope and scale of Black Mesa is a massive undertaking. Back in 2012 we made the decision to release what we had completed up to that point, and were blown away by the community’s response, feedback, and improvements to our work. We want to keep that relationship alive and well by using Early Access as a tool for allowing our community to participate in the final phase of Black Mesa’s development.

In addition, our ambitions go beyond the original Xen chapters found in Half-Life. We have a standard of quality that we have to achieve. Early Access allows us to commit resources to bring you the remaining chapters with the quality that you expect.”

"We currently have the first ~85% of our single player campaign completed. For the last 15% we want to not only recreate it, but improve upon it to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. We feel it will take us considerable time to get the last 15% up to our standards, and putting a time estimate on it would be a total guess.”

This EA release sees you playing over 10 hours of single player campaign. Multiplayer deathmatch and team deathmatch with 6 completely re-imagined Half-Life 1 maps on the Source Engine.

a) That's sure we can forget about carrying only 2-3 weapons , it would probably cost too much work, but how about things that i writed above? Imo, HL2 guns are LOUSY, mainly because they sound like toys, have no recoil and look crappy. Your guns look awesome, I'm sure they will also sound awesome, so how about the recoil, especially of the M4 w/m203, Glock17 and Spas12? With shotgun there should be no problem, because its slow, so the basic HL2 recoil is probably good, but how about other guns? M4 without recoil wouldn't be too much fun, Glock too. So how about inceasing it, to more realistic level? Now, the magazine capacity: Do You plan changin' the HL1 magazine cap. values to the real ones? Or M4 will again have 50 round magazine? What comes after, what You plan to do with max carried ammo values? I think these ones are too big, according too fact, that Freeman carry all these guns. So, I think they should look like that:

Oh, and the Rocket Launcher. I think is should be RPG-7 with - 1 rocket loaded, and 3 carried. Grenades - only 3 to 5. Satchels - 2 to 3. The rest should be like in HL1. What follows, that enemies health should be slightly lowered, and there's should be more ammo lying around. This "small" enhancements in the game mechanics won't destroy the atmosphere and will add more adrenaline and satisfaction to the game.

b) My friend told me that You want to reduce transitions between HL1&HL2, not only in the plot of Half-Life's , and i realised, that my "request" would be really reasonable. How about making mini-mod to HL2, with guns from BM:S? I'd really like to see this beatiful Glock in my hands while exploring a City 17...

2) I've been listening to music samples on Your site. They are really good, but, how about more heavier music in some chapters\places?

3) Grunt Model. Did u saw THIS? Might be useful for You, just need to ask the author for permission to use his stuff. THIS screen imo really good shows this skin in-game.

And I think that's all. At the end just want to say, that Your work is really impressive, and I'm looking forward to play this mod :)

You are forgetting something. In the Neterlands / Finland and so on you can speak many languages, like you said. You also said that we should do the same in France/Germany/... I agree, but you must know that it's hard for french people to speak many languages. It's a matter of culture, I guess. But, in the shools we must learn at least 2 other languages than french : english and another (spanish, italian, russian ...).
But it's impossible to increase that number of learnt languages because of our impossibility to speak many languages like you. Sorry :)

But if I could help to translate subtitles to french, well I really would. :)

BM will feature subtitles, no spoken translations. It is a mod, casting voice actors is painstaking as it is. Subtitles are relatively easy to do and the current fan community is more than willing to help translate to subtitles for alot of languages inclusing french, dutch, spanish, etc, etc.

yall forgettin this is a mod, not a paid product. so they are in-*******-fallible. the black mesa team can do no wrong. and whatever they do with this game will be hailed as brilliant and mind altering. so dont badmouth people who are doing a great goddamn job on this most beautiful of mods just because they aint gonna translate ten times.

and to the team. keep it up, i can sleep at night for you beautiful people. just remember to be faithful to Half Life. so many people have played it now its become an icon. minor changes are all well and good, but the story needs to be there. all the shifty innuendo to HL2 and the larger forces at work that made that game so great.

but like i said, infallable. so dont worry too much, ill love you even if it turns out the nihalith looks like tricky **** nixon himself. Infallable, keep telling yourselves that, because its true.

Well, if games are subtitled, gamers who can't speak english, will actually learn it. Except the Netherlands and Flanders, there are no countries in Europe where ppl can speak more than one (or maybe two) languages. Here in Flanders, we learn English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish at school. You should too.

Are in Netherlands enough peoples, who buy games? Don´t think so. France, or Germany ist a bigger market than the Netherlands, so perhaps its worth to translate it in other languages.

Sure, it is usefull, if you get much input in english, to learn it, but the feeling is greater, if you play a game in your native language, so you can understand everything.
But some games must be in producer language, because of the athmo...
BMS too...
French or German subtitels would be great either.

This mod is amazing! Feels like i'm playing a Valve's game, not a modification.
Now i understand what people felt like in 1998.

At first i made a really nice review to this game mod. But then i advanced further in the game and i got really pissed off... Yeah its pretty and scenic , yeah most of the voice acting is great and the music is fantastic but there is a huge annoying gash that just makes the game shit! AI: WHAT BASICALLY MAKES THE GAME SHIT AI: SHIIIT Soldiers...Im fine with other critters plaing running to eat you but soldiers(well the alien soldiers suck in this department as well). Anyway so where were we? oh…
