Run. Think. Shoot. Live. Source. Black Mesa is the Half-Life 2 total conversion of the original Half-Life game. Utilizing the Source engine and its endless array of possibilities and powers, Black Mesa will throw you into the world that started the Half-Life continuum and introduced Gordon Freeman to the world as a gun-toting, bullet-dodging Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics.

The wait was just long enough for all kinds of crazy bets to be made, but time to cash those in, because the Black Mesa Trailer is good to go and up for viewing! You can download the high resolution version straight off of Monkey-Junkie's website and or stream it right here on ModDB. We hope this gives you a small taste of what the game will be like, and we hope it was worth the extra wait!
We also forgot to include some great Power Up shots by Kim Dahlgren, so be sure and check those out on our media page! This officially concludes our media release, but not future updates! And as stated in the trailer, the days this mod stays in development are truly numbered. Hang tight, because at long last, it is coming.

I've been lazy about following Black Mesa but this convinced me to change my mind.
This is awesome, now I want to see Xen footage. Just because the environment is constructed so beautifully, the world is so unique, and is an amazing job on Valve's part. However, due to computers' abilities at the time, it doesn't even nearly live up to its potential.
*faints*

I have been playing half-life from the beggining. Ive played everything from the game of the year edition of the original, to op4 to bshift and cs and 2 and 2ep1-2. I cannot wait to play this game, this trailer looks awsome, i hope everything turns out the way that everyone is really hoping for!
