Part 1 of 2. Instructions: Once part 1 and 2 have been downloaded rename the files to include this format blackmesa.zip.001 for part one and blackmesa.zip.002 for part 2. Extract and copy files into sourcemods/BMS in your steamapps directory.

Downloading slow as **** is better than not being able to download at all, like when Cry of Fear was released and everyone crashed gamefront
Why is there 2 parts :/?
File size restrictions and/or making things easier for people with slower or less stable connections.

The zip file for part one seems to be corrupt so it won't unzip. Download somewhere else.
I think I'll wait a few days untill the mass downloading stops.
Then I might actually be able to get it within a day.
I downloaded it no problem, pretty quickly too. But the files were corrupted.
ditto here with file corruption, i do know that it changed mirrors a couple times, it started off with a moddb server, then gamefront

I got multiplayer coop working!.....now if only i could find a working player model so players arn't invisible :(
I seem not to be able to extract the files, windows tells me it's invalid, and 7zip just says it can't open it. Halp?
yea same here I keep getting a message saying that the archive is corrupted for part one only D:< no mater how many times I dL it man this is some ******** ... waited years for this to deal with crap like this come on how unlucky do I have to be ! D:<

Yup, same issue. Always corrupted. They MIGHT want to fix that, because I can't play it right now.
worked for me i just had to repair the archives in winrar than it seems to work fine so far (Its under tools > repair archive)
the game runs great and everything seems to work fine

This works takes a bit longer to DL but its a full stable archive + a fully working exe installation setup is optional.

WHEN I START TO DOWNLOAD IT SAYS 107 MB SIZE WTF WHY
is it just me or did the download shrink from 3 gigs to 108 mb's o.o
For some reason, I couldn't install with the regular instructions. If someone has the same problem, here's another way:
Download HJSplit (no install needed = hjsplit.org)
Then, download the game parts. Rename them Blackmesa.zip.001 (as mentioned ).
After, Start HJSplit and then click "Join", navigate to your .001 part and click start (make sure 001 and 002 are in the same folder).
Then unzip and install like a regular mod. I reckon you know how.

Idk if im the only one but it keeps failing and its starting to Pi** me off. So im just gonna do it via desure.
How do you even join them?
Every time I join them it says it's failed.
Whenever i try to join them, HJSPLIT gives me I/O Error 23.
if u use desura do u need to do both parts as wen i try to do part 2 it doenst do anything
The shittest install method ever, surely you know that naming a file .001 or .002 at the end confuses a computer?
I can't extract them! I've renamed them already, but it doesn't work ;-;
Why would you name the file .001 at the end, that confuses the **** out of computers and completely ***** up the file. I can't install this because now they're always VLC files. Name it BlackMesa1.zip, not blackmesa.zip.001, that completely ***** them up.
Yay. Restored them with winrar getting a 66 mb file and a 22 one. THANKS DEVS.
