Hotfix for a number of bugs and balance issues.
This is a manual install so you need to navigate to the TFH mods folder and locate the BlackICE mod folder.
Unpack the Hotfix and overwrite the BICE 6.0 folders with the hotfix folders.
You might also require the 6.1 map cache
fix for the infantry component not being removed in upgrade of 13.Infanterie div to 13 mot inf division

fixed The Hungaria exp. korps and Romania Army and army group commanders is not of high enough rank to command his troops.
fixed spamming Winter clothing decision when The war will be over ..." is chosen
tremendous firepower tech lowers artillery width by 50% (2 tech levels).
Div unit size increases artillery width by 34% (3 tech levels) and artillery starts with 1 width.
AI inly artillery width reduction is removed.
Triparte spam fix + plains attack modifier lowered
resource penalties for AI noob settings removed
ahistorical SS choice now lets SS HQs be researched
dates changed on education tech to be a 1924 start with 3 year offsets. Makes more sense to see those dates rather then a 1900 start

officer cost on base units adjusted as well
land unit base values adjusted to take into account new div size increase techs

Hello,
I've noticed that the Legacy Camera option is not available (Ticking the box in the main menu options, and starting a game causes the box to be unticked again.)
The Legacy Camera hasn't been working since 6.0, and i'd like to see it fixed, or at least a response to my messages.
i think, from memory this was removed due to certain map files in BICE causing issues. I didn't work on the map and this was a while ago so will need to check about this.
It worked perfectly in 5.01, so it's a recent change.
Ok i'll just play 5.01 until it's fixed.

The only thing which I can think of which might be casuing an issue is the change in map fonts. I will look into this.

Hi, I try to play a custom game as Germany - but you can't increase the Technology Level in the Prototypes-Folder. Can anybody help me?
custom games are no longer supported in BICE. Many of the techs won't work, much of the OOBs are required, there are also reports of custom game starts causing CTDs. Finally its akin to cheating as the AI is stuck with the initial OOB and it badly unbalances the mod.
Woah I can no longer play custom games. Damn I just started downloading this. If I can't setup my own custom game I'm done with this mod. Thanks telling me I've been playing the game wrong...
Umm well guess I was confused. just installed and started (went fine) and was able to do Custom Game. What then is the above commenter referring to?
there have been reports of CTDs with custom games. Not sure what has caused them. There will however be some techs which won't allow you to set them as a custom tech level. Many require ingame events to trigger them and some have tech requirements which don't work well with custom games. However I guess it depends on the nation you play as and how much you change from the 1936 start.

I see your concerns, I suppose that tinkering with techs is just as easy in the .txt files or savegame editing but the OBO and buildings is more conveniently edited via custom game mode. Personally I consider the custom game feature invaluable and the most significant addition since vanilla. Thus I implore you to make any reasonable effort to support the mode but clearly this is your mod (and an astoundingly excellent one it is) and you may do as you feel as proper for the direction you chose.
I'm playing as Italy, when does the prepare for war option disappear?
Also, should I attach my entire navy to the army group Mussolini? Idk if I would get less supply consumption.
Oh and there's a bug in the event which you can decide if Manchukuo is annexed or would live.If Manchukuo is annexed, all divisions/corps/armies/army groups/Theater HQ's are disconnected and become leaderless.
Hello there I think theres a bug with the 2 infanterie division size with the 1939 setup, its sole infantry regiment only has a size of 2700.

First of all a big thank you to all the modders who participated in creating this great and epic mod. It completely changes the gaming experience and makes it much more challenging.
Now to the bad part: I just downloaded Hotfix 6.1. Is it normal that playing as Germany, it is not possible to research special forces techs? I have advanceed research in Infantry and Artillery techs, but even the mountain troops are not researchable, nor produceable for that matter. I imagine it being hard to do sealion without para's, e.g..
Is this a bug (it certaily feels like it) or is it just me who's having this problem?

sounds like you have an install issue. What is your checksum ? Ypu might have older BICE filers conflicting with 6.1
My Checksum is MFFG. Also it says BlackICE MKVII v.6.00 beta, although I installed the 6.1 Hotfix. Is that correct?
checksum is wrong, it should be IBOY with the hotfix. The version number is correct as the 6.1 hotfix doesn't update that.

And to German cores:
shouldn't St. Dié, Lunnéville and Nancy stay French while Le Thillot should be added to Alsace-Lorraine?
Also, in the Molotov-Ribbentrop event, Suwalki should go to Germany as historically correct, I think. It was directly incorporated into East Prussia after the fall of Poland.
And last but not least, there were two provinces in the previous version somwhere east of Warsaw which were not annexed through the Molotov-Ribbentrop event after the fall of Poland but rather occupied. As far as I know they should be part of the newly created Warthegau made up of major western Poland and therefore annexed rather than occupied territory. Is this still a remaining issue in 6.1, as I haven't gotten that far?

there a are a couple of different options in terms of how much Polish territory is occupied and how much is annexed.
That is true, but afaik Suwalki is not an option and with the maximum of annexed territory there remained a "finger" of two provinces toward Lodz. But maybe it'S been adressed in version 6.x.

you have not installed the mod correctly. It needs a clean vanilla TFH 4.02 without any old BICE files.

The guy who does the low res version is no longer working on it. So unless someone else steps up there isn't much to be done.

sounds like your video card is having problems ? Some video cards don't seem to like HOI3 as much as others.
2 questions, why don't the events "Tora Tora Tora" and "Attack of Pearl Harbour" trigger a declaration of war from Great Britain. Also, does the Attack of Pearl Harbour event destroy any ships? Because I already sent a strike force.
The UK and rest of the Allies should automatically be at war with Japan after Pearl Harbour. Tora, Tora, Tora gives some bonuses to the Japanese for a short period of time, however no ships are destroyed by the event. There isn't really any way to determine if any ships are actually at pearl harbour or even what sort of ships are there in order to destroy them.

Download the mapcache.
Delete the current one before copying the new mapcache in place.

Hi i have a question about Multiplayer i played as United Kingdom and some time later in another Game as USA and had reduction of Energy called "Average UK(Americans)" which i thought was applied once but i always ran out of energy so i checked and saw that in the Territories there were twice the reduction once with -20% and a second with -30% is that wanted?

I have some ideas for you to add.
1. If you take all of Malaya except Singapore, Singapore would be captured and .
2. Croatia and Serbia should both declare war on the soviet union if Italy decides to participate in Barbarossa.
3. If japan defeats the soviet union and has mongolia, tannu tuva, and/or Xinjiang as allies, they would ultimately be annexed or puppeted depending of war goal (Annex by default).
4. There should be an event for Japan concerning the fate of Macau. Originally it was left to maintain relations with the Portuguese for the time being. But in order to completely fulfill the goal of "Asia for the Asiatics". They wanted to unite every Asian land.
5. There could be different special war goals for Japan on Australia. You'd be given an event and you could choose what to annex.
For example, annex papua new guinea and puppet australia, annex PNG and northern Australian cities/region, complete annexation, or complete puppeting.
6. There could also be a few war goals for New Zealand's Samoa upon their puppeting. The annexation of Samoa or not.
7. The formation of Mengjiang should have 2 decisions when clicked. You could form it or not. This is good for players who just want to outright annex everything and not have the decision always on.
8. A good idea I have, there should be many plans for Barbarossa. Also, all the axis countries will have a say in what they want. If they don't get it, it might even lead to war or just worsening relations. All i'm saying is instead of a single plan, each country will say what it wants and the main victor will determine what each would receive. Each of these war goals are event specific and are like the fall of france war goals. Also, there would be a war goal placed on the soviets from each participating axis nation.
Oh and 1 thing, Bugrino island province in the Soviet union was still in soviet hands after their defeat. Not sure if this was accidentally left out or not.
The mod starts but when i select a country the game starts load normally but crashes instant, i have installed it correctly with the latest hotfix and latest black ice, what should i do?
