Big Brother is a single/multiplayer modification for the Valve Half-Life 2 Source Engine and some legacy maps for the Original Half-Life Engine. Big Brother is a "government conspiracy/ fight the system/ rebel against those who take our freedoms" kind of modification. It is about the government tricking citizens into giving up their freedom and rebels fighting for them back. But there is a twist!!
After the Xen attacks on Black Mesa the American people ask the government for more protection. The President signs the Executive Order for the Intelligent Security Localization and Abnormal National Defense System (ISLANDS) to take total control of the peoples protection. People slowly give away freedoms in exchange for safety. You are a rebel and fight the system.Or Do You??

I'm making a note here: The mod is still alive... Big Brother Mod is still alive. We have been in constant struggle over the last year between school, jobs, girlfriends,... and the mod, but I have taken some time to get some more work. The story has been refined some more and I have been working for hours on a few of the first level maps. I'll try to keep you all informed more and post a few pictures. BTW our website has been updated by myself to be cool looking (css, flash intro, flash image gallery,...) and work on Firefox and IE so stop on by and check it out.

Sorry, just to clear things up this mod isn't about the TV show. "Big Brother" is a term meaning someone is watching over you. Like a big brother watches over a younger brother/sister. Only in this case the "Big brother" is the government.
Hope that didn't make things harder to understand.
Yeah we are in the process of getting a site right now, as well as we are looking for more team member. As for updates since theres not that many of us theres not much to update on. As we get more done we will be sure to update with more pics and what not. Thats great that your excited about the mod, be sure to check back offten.

Any and all suggestions are considered. Your opinions do matter to us. Even the best mod fails if nobody downloads it. (wow that all sounds cheesy when i type it out)
Big Brother is going to be very story driven.
The story will be integrated into every place possible. That is one of my main goals. I want the player/story relationship to make this mod stand out above others. (No offence to others)
Not sure if a multiplayer will be included or not. It depends on the cohesiveness of the whole mod. I don't want the multiplayer to feel way different from the singleplayer.
