Friday News: Changes are comming...
Hey Guys, Many things happened this week, and a lot of changes. Also, some new gameplay functions were made, and I'll present you the new kits for each faction. So let's get started...
Changes are comming
During this week, Insanity Pays told me, that the USA vs. Russia is boring and old. And he's so right..
He said, why can't we make a new faction? This new faction is...:
Canada!
It will replace the US, and will bring some fresh wind into the project. Also, I made a group for the developers of BF2: AW, you can find them here:https://www.moddb.com/company/arctic-warfare-developers
New gameplay functions:
Since last week, we also have a very good programmer in our team, who has quite some experience in programming for Bf2. It's dodek96_pl! Now to the features we want to implement:
-New Squad Spawn system, so that every squadmember can spawn at every squadmember
-Supression Fire
-Abtility to throw back grenades (Maybe, it won't be implemented, due the restrictions of the Refractor Engine)
Most of these are "inspired" from Bf3 ;) These are the functions, that we really really miss in Bf2, especially the squad-spawn-system.
Note: Not one of this functions is guranted to be in the final build!
The new russian camouflage:
If you remeber the russians back from Special Forces, you may remember, that they already
had a white camouflage. But it was way too dark to work in our Ice levels, so Insanity Pays made
a new one, and here it is:
A light blue color gives them their induvidual look. As always, great work Insanity, thank you :)

As a new mod, without new weapons would be boring, I made a first listing of the Kits. Please note, this is just a first thought, and nothing is final. Suggestions are welcome :)

As you can see, there is no Anti-Tank unit anymore. Instead, this is now mixed with the Engineer. Also, the engineer doesn't has a shotgun, as it wouldn't make sense, on such a large map as Rocky Mountains. Instead, they have a SMG.
And yeah, you read right, a shovel! :D Spetznatz are using them as meele weapon, and we thought, a funny idea would be cool :)
The first step on the bunker-complex
Maybe, hardly a few of you do know, that there is a bunker. It's in the middle of the map. Now I started with the first building for this complex. It's one of the secret entrys, there are 2 of them on the map. They will directly lead to the main-bunker. You can use them for ambushing, supporting, and surprising attacks. Here are some screenshots (Not in-editor, I couldn't finish the whole model yet)

Also know as M9, or FN Minimi
