While not an official patch, this mod represents my best effort to give the art, models, and campaign story of Battlezone II just as much of a makeover and update, as the 1.3 series of patches have done for the game's code.

This mod makes changes to the stock odf files, and is designed to run alongside patch 1.3.7.2 and higher, and any mods that use the stock odf and art assets, though additional changes to bzone.cfg file may be necessary

In late 2014, I got the urge to replay Battlezone II's campaign after a long absence, and while I still love the initial designs, the artwork and models just haven't held up well over the past 16 years. My first step was to redo all the textures. This helped, but I still saw many visual issues, so in Jan 2015, I started working on the models. Over the course of 2015 I rebuilt pretty much everything, and towards the end, I also reworked the SP campaign to unify the two contradictory endings and eliminate the need for multiple pilot logins.

I would encourage you to create a new pilot and play the campaign again. Existing campaigns under pilots will likely no longer work anyway. While the mission play is essentially the same, all of the briefs and debriefs have been revised for more background detail, better story flow, and consistency with Battlezone (1998)

I just got the mod a few days ago and cannot stop playing BZ II. Absolutely amazing work you've done man, you've brought new life to a childhood classic of mine.
I've been replaying the campaign and I found only one issue so far: In mission 4 "Too Hot", when using the mod, the player is not given control of the scavenger that Shabayev builds, and therefore the mission cannot be progressed/completed. I tried it multiple times and got the same issue every single time. In order to complete the mission, I had to use the default BZ II game (not the mod), and then used the mod again on mission 5.
Once again, thanks a lot for this mod. You're a legend mate.

Wow, that's weird. I don't know why it's doing that. I've posted a patch fix that everyone can use on this mission that works around the problem.

Мод не локализуется на других языках, поэтому он может не работать для версий игры за пределами США или на других языках, кроме английского.

NEW v1.0.8 released 2/21/17
Sorry to release this so soon after 107, but lots of major work has been done. Hopefully it'll be a looong time before I need to do another one.

This is the everything old is new again version of the mod.
- Specular highlights - finally found a solution, and the time and energy to (re)set these to stock setup. They are less shiny and consistent with the stock models.
- Race textures - major run through of ISDF and Scion textures. ISDF - added in more highlights and shadows - most visible in SP and IA, online less so. Scion - set to more like original appearance.
- Ground textures - returned/unquadded many back to single tile, and went through and readjusted contrast so they wouldn't be so faded or soft.
- ivscout - did new reverse anim to remove "flipping" appearance when transitioning to other anim sets.
- ivscout/fvscout - set cost back to stock, and increased fvsent/ivmbike radar range. See changelog.
- cut in half the number of chunks meshes, and simplified the chunk explosions for many units.
- added in Heavy Warrior and Scion Phantom.
- fvtank now has hp_cannon_1 - 4 available.
- FYI, there are other guntower variants and a few models still not covered. It's likely they won't be since they are so specialized and infrequently used.

I love what you have done to the graphics and the storyline....only one pain in the rear problem the scion mission an unlikely rescue I am unable to proceed past destroying the bridge(doesnt register if i destroy segments or if the ai destroys the brigde itself)

Make sure you/your force destroy all the segments and the ramps - everything. You should probably start with the marked segment first. Then Shab after several seconds pause should start talking and tell you to go to the AAN base. I just played it like that, and it worked. A lot of the stock scripts can still be wonky, and even wonkier with my models (for some unknown reason).

Unfortunately I don't how to manipulate the interface to get your request to work. That would be something more deeper into the source code. My suggestion would be to go to Bzforum.matesfamily.org and go to the "Patch" forum, and make the request there. GSH, who runs the site could potentially make the type of change you are asking for.
