This Homeworld 2 Game modification aims to recreate the atmosphere of Battlestar Galactica. Give complex tactical commands, such as suppression fire, defensive tactics, movement under fire, and more as you try to survive the Cylon onslaught. Want to level the playing field? Setup a skirmish game with one of our maps and have at it. The CIC is yours to command. Good Hunting, Commander.

unless of course you have the old versions somewhere
There are reasons why the releases have expiration dates. The main one is to help protect your own computers. In the past, previous releases were being re-hosted with viruses by unreliable 3rd parties for people to download and use. The expiration dates are there to provide another obstacle to those that try to spread any form of malicious code through the mod.
It also saves us time from investigating bogus bug reports due to people using older versions of the mod, where those bugs have been fixed.
i see. that makes a lot of sense, but there should still be a place to download the latest version
the latest version has expired, that would completely defeat the purpose of having an expiration date.
yeah...why do you have it set up so it stops working at a certain time? That makes sense if your developing it, but now it's not available
Please re-read my first reply to you. I have also posted below that we encountered some unexpected problems that have delayed the release of v0.5.3.
Rather than immediately making a post asking about the status of the mod, where to download it etc etc. Please do some searching for that information yourself first, those answers are all available to be read. It only takes a little bit of time to find and search for an answer but takes a lot of time for us to answer everyone who asks the same questions.
does the skirmish mode work well? (player vs cpu)
They have a new AI called Barnmaddo or something like that. It was made by a person on the library forums. Granted the AI doesn't really MOVE, but it does build ships, and will send Patrolstars and Shieldstars, plus fighters and corvettes.
The Caps sit back, but hey, it works well.
So yes, Skirmish does work.
