Just a quick Q though, is Homeworld 2 with the 1.1 patch still required? My copy of vista doesn't like homeworld 2 after I apply the 1.1 patch for whatever bizzare and inexplicable reason...

simple way of putting your problem is that vista sucks when you want to play games, i HAD vista on my desktop and couldnt play a single game i wanted to, no matter what i did it was really fussy.

Solution: Get a version of XP and ditch vista.

Used the Windows.Exe from Gameupdates, but the Mod won't run (unlike earlier versions). All patched up to 1.1, new profile (fresh install actually)....no run. A real puzzlement.
