This Homeworld 2 Game modification aims to recreate the atmosphere of Battlestar Galactica. Give complex tactical commands, such as suppression fire, defensive tactics, movement under fire, and more as you try to survive the Cylon onslaught. Want to level the playing field? Setup a skirmish game with one of our maps and have at it. The CIC is yours to command. Good Hunting, Commander.

1) I installed the game
2) installed patch 1.1
3) added the mod
4) cracked the game
also tried 4) first then 3)
after that I added "E:\ Program Files\ Sierra\ Homeworld2\ Bin\ Release\ Homeworld2.exe" -overrideBigFile
and it spat out a message that "The procedure entry point ?SaveAll@LuaConfig@@QAEX_N@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library luaconfig.dll."
it didn't work, on some persons suggestion I added a luaconfig.dll to bin/release and after starting it crashed
and it also happened with another mod called Stargate Space Conflict
somebody please help me!
the Colony fleet is damn lucky when the Cylons don't have Shieldstars around, you can take out an entire fleet with only Vipers and Raptors

Ya you need to have the full game to actually play this "MOD". It's all in the name. It's a "Modifiction" to the full HW2 game. Not to anything else.
To be able to play the game, you need to own the full retail version of homeworld 2. As this is a mod for that game, not a full game by itself.
I LOVE THIS MOD!!!!!!
